I just got an email from temple for an interview invite, but on the email it said right away that the purpose is to fight for a spot for waitlisted. Here it is:
Dear Applicant,

Thank you for your interest in the Kornberg School of Dentistry. Based on a thorough, preliminary review of your application, I would like to extend an invitation to interview for the waitlist.

Interviews will only be conducted on April 8th, 9th, and 10th from 9:00am to 4:00pm. If interested please call the Office of Admissions and Student Affairs at 1-800-441-4363 to schedule within the week.

The Kornberg School of Dentistry at Temple University is the fourth largest and second oldest dental school in the country. It maintains a strong clinical focus. Student doctors provide high quality, comprehensive dental care to thousands of patients each year. The volume and diversity of the patient population distinguishes this dental school. Due to the vast clinical exposure, our students are highly successful in clinical licensure examinations, are recruited into thriving dental practices (7000 alumni located coast to coast), and enjoy an impressive 90% match rate into post-graduate programs.

Enclosed are items that may be of interest to you. Please complete the Pre-Interview Summary and Confidentiality Statement which will be collected upon your arrival.

I wish you all the best in your decision making at this exciting time of your life.

Just want to know before I make the appointment tomo, what are the chance of getting in, if I DO get waitlisted?

No idea .. but I was told by Brian that if we weren't accepted (those of us who interviewed as non-waitlist) that we were automatically on the waitlist.
So I dont think its just the people who interview on those days.... it'll be + a bunch more. It might be worthit you never know!

i just made by appointment today, no matter how small the chance it is still a chance to get in!

do u mind sharing your stats and when your application was complete?

thanks and good luck!

Hmm, I never knew schools interview potential students to be waitlisted. But, you are right "... no matter how small the chance..."

So I received the secondary from Temple about 2 weeks ago and then after I sent them a check I realized that they were not interviewing for spots anymore? So I thought..oh maybe they won't cash my check if they are just sending me a rejection letter. But no they just cashed my check...maybe leading to a similar interview invite?

they might never let the hope down
but one thing no matter what time you send the check in all D-school will cash it for sure

Hi, does anyone know how to reach the admission office by phone from Toronto? the 1800 number provided in the interview invitation letter doesn't work 'cause Toronto is outside the service area...
