I was wondering what level of physics ( Algebra based or Calc Based) satisfies the prerequisite requirement for most med schools and specifically Temple Medical school. On the website they list General Physics but Temple undergrad offers both Intro to General Physics (Algebra) and General Physics (Calc) . From that, I would assume that they are referring to Calc based, but most of these threads are saying that Calc based isn't required for Med school ( other thread even specifically mention temple). I know this question has been asked a couple times but I wasn't able to find a definite answer!

Btw this is my first thread post so sorry if the question is a bit lengthy!

Eh nah, algebra based is fine I believe.

Oh okay, would it be a bad idea to call the admissions office? I know a lot of PA students are able to get their prereq.info if they just call the admissions office, do you think the med school admissions would answer this type of specific question ?

Yes, they'd answer those types of questions.

But to save you the time: algebra/trig-based physics will meet medical school requirements.

Algebra based satisfies requirements and it helps you go over material that's gonna be on MCAT physics. 👍

MCAT physics is algebra-based. Don't expect it to play a huge role in Temple Med's admissions decisions, though- they get a TON of apps and are hard to get into based on the numbers of applicants alone. You can get in there with lower GPA/MCAT, though.

Okay thanks for all the help guys! Yea I wanted to make sure since I'm a current temple undergrad student and Temple Med school is one my top choices. I just didn't want a prereq. to create a problem for my eligibility to apply!
