Hi everyone,

I got an email from temple saying that they received my application and to complete the enclosed form which is supposed to attached to the email but I don't see the attachment anywhere. Am I going crazy? Did anyone else get the email and find no attachment. thanks 😀
 
I'd like to know this as well lol
 
Yes, many other people are experiencing this same thing. The honcho's at Temple have been made aware of the issue and said it will be taken care of. Also see the end of the "application received" thread for verification.

I got the email too with the only attachment being the logo image. I emailed them about it a few minutes after I received it but haven't heard a response. I'll post their response when I get it.
 
I think everyone is on the same page. There was no attachment. I'm sure they're aware of it after receiving hundreds of emails from us by now... Does Temple actually have essays in their application or is it just a fee?

Fee and a simple form if it's the same they have been doing in the past. It's more of a waiver to discuss your application if anyone asks.
 
Okay thanks... So I shouldn't expect essay after essay right? Just answering a few questions?

Not even that. Mine was a 1 page fillable PDF. Basic bio info (name, address, phone, aadsas id, etc), check #/money order info, and the application disclosure box. Print, sign, mail with check/money order.

Thankfully just the fee and simple page, filling out all these essays is ridiculous, especially when they just ask the same thing as the AADSAS app.
 
Thank God! I thought I was the only one... and checked thrice to see if I was stupid before replying back to them. lol
 
Haha I checked a bunch of times too to avoid looking stupid. And I HATE ALL THESE ESSAYS. It's the same exact questions as AADSAS, just worded differently. Especially when you think you're done with essays and another school "is glad you are interested in them" and decides to add on a bunch of essays to your list :/
 
I am on the same page. Since many of you already emailed back to them about this matter, would it be necessary to email for them to know I also have this matter?

Just put 'Anyone who inquires about my application'. This doesn't mean they're going to publish it or hang it in the cafeteria for all to see. It's so they have your permissions to talk about your application/candidacy if someone should inquire. Apparently they get a lot of that, and this is a way to shut people down who ask, or allows them to answer since you are granting permission. So who would ask?

This is what I was told:

There's a lot of alumni and history, so admissions gets bombarded with calls, emails, visits form people asking about application/applicant status. Like family who went there and have a sibling, child, grandchild who is applying. Or friends of parents who have a kid applying. Even faculty. And a government official? Just people trying to use connections and asking about an applicants status thinking it'll help. So it got annoying telling them they can't discuss it because they don't have your permission.
 
Hold on, what is the application disclosure? Where do you see that? I'm confused, are we still talking about the no attachment from Temple?
 
i received another email from temple with the correct attachment. about 30-45 mins ago

Very well. You'll see that causes fuss. Like it's order of preference or something. Next is a lot of not understanding this disclosure business.

Tip: Get that bad boy in the mail. Today. And if invited to interview, accept the date they offer. They give you short notice on purpose.
 
the form says we can check the status of the fee on AADSAS. How is that done?
 
mine says 1 and i was in the first batch. sweet.

the name of the pdf was also 'supplemental application 12-13(1).pdf

What do I put? Name of place the check/money order was issued? I get my money orders from the US post office so yeah.

^ might be just me who doesn't get it.. overthinker! 😴

I got money orders with no specified name, just who I'm paying to and from (which is me!)! lols obv. maybe I should've just stuck with a check haha..
If I got a money order from the US post office, I put.. "U.S. post office" or "my name" since it's from me?

I think it's the wording that's throwing me off. I'm not usually this slow ;(

And on temple's supplemental, put your name if your name is on the money order... Put your parent's if that's on the Monty order. They just wanna match the money order to the application. No biggie 🙂 and yes, let's all relax

your name. they don't care where you got it from, as that isn't relevant.

and no worries, it's a stressful time.
 
Speaking of stress and not having anything to do with this thread...what's up with predents.com? It's been down for 2 days. Could the new one be on the way without anyone actually making a thread asking for it?
