Call the Admission Office and they will send you the info through email. I called several months ago, I think I posted the info here on SDN, do a search to find out. Sadly, I erased the attachment from my computer.

Thanks Meggs, but there is no advantage for me right now till i take part-2.The important thing is that I know now that temple may have some spaces.

hi

$1000 !!!:wow:

Hi Friends,
I called up UConn and they told me only two seats are available this year. They are sending out forms to people who got above 90 in NDBE part I.They will be giving preferences to Conn residents. And its a three year program!!
They will be calling candidates for interview after feb and there will be a didactic test conducted too:wow:
Just because they are supposed to be the best dental school..
If they select people with such high NDBE score obviously their mean score will go up...

Good thing people are finally realizing this. And, the higher their mean or average score, the easiest is for them to get money and grants for research and other stuff. It's all about the money!

As far as the maximum amount of money spent on research is concerned Harvard is the best dental school.
This was the ranking published few years ago.But their was so much of protest caused by the dental schools that now they don't have any official ranking..
But UConn is a self proclaimed winner as far as mean NDBE scores are concerned and the mean DAT scores of eligible candidates...

Hi pinktooth:

Do you mind writing me the link where I can check an official dental schools ranking.I mean a new link, cause I only had an old one befor.

There are NO official dental school rankings.

Years ago, when the offical ranking existed it was based on the amount of money the school spent on research. Which of course made Harvard #1; UCSF, UCLA and UConn where also in the very top.

That's one of the reasons they stoped ranking schools, because it was based solely on research amount. Now days, school with the highest average part 1 scores, publicize themselves as that.
But the actual list of averages scores, is not made public, only schools choose to release their own.

It's a good thing they don't rank schools based on research anymore, or board scores for that matter. Because getting a 99 on part 1, doesn't exactly come in handy when you're trying to do an endo on a third and only molar that the patient has left. Or when you're trying to figure out how come your patient keeps knocking out that Cl IV or PFM crown. Only A LOT of practice and experience helps you there. Experience cannot be improvised.

Hi Sam,
There is no official dental school ranking as I wrote earlier. This was a report I read at usanews.com.
I will try and send you the link.
According to Upenn (as you must be knowing) UCSF is the best dental school and Upenn is the fourth..
Take care
