3 PainMD clinic nurses indicted, gave patients 'very painful' bogus injections, feds say
PainMD, which operates pain clinics in Tennessee, is accused of giving unnecessary back injections to inflate profits.

“The threat was to remove those patients source of prescription drugs if they did not comply,” Cochran said. The indictment says the three suspects acted under direct instruction of PainMD’s owner and chief medical officer, neither of whom are identified. The owner of PainMD is Michael Kestner, a non-practicing attorney, and the chief medical officer is Dr. Lisabeth Williams. Neither Kestner nor Williams have been charged with any crime."
