How did y'all feel when you left the interview?? Did you think it went well?

I felt like Watt had been overwhelmed with the amount of applicants she had seen that had been to Belmont earlier that day (went into how she could tell TSU was their second choice, etc). I think the subject being brought up actually worked to my advantage, because she seemed relieved when I told her I didn't even apply to Belmont. @flbOT35 Being from Kentucky, did you apply to Spalding University?

Yeah I did apply to Spalding and EKU but Spalding starts their interviews in March and EKU I wouldn't find out till summer. I prefer Nashville over Louisville a lot more though, but I have friends that are in the OT program at Spalding and love it.
I got positive feedback from Watt after the interview and felt like the interview went really well, but who knows there we're 59 other applicants!
 
Just got the call- I'm in! I wish nothing but the best for each of you and have my fingers crossed for y'all!!!!

Hmmmm ok. Well hopefully they are calling a few each day. They did this for the interviews. I thought I wasn't going to get an interview, but they called me a day after most people had posted on this forum.

Making 30 phone calls saying the same, yea I would split up the days too, I'll post here if I hear from them.

I also have not received a phone call. So nervous, going to be checking my phone 24/7 the next few days.

Anybody else got a call yet? This wait it excruciating.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who hasn't gotten a call! I kinda panicked :p but hope is not lost for us yet! Congrats ot katie!

Yep...I got in as well. My phone had died last night, so after charging my phone this morning, I saw mr snyder 's voicemail & confirmed my acceptance after calling back. Good luck, stay by your cell phones.

Recieved my acceptance call this morning and will be submitting my deposit! :)
 
I got an acceptance call as well! :D I'm still going to go to my UT Memphis interview next week, but I'm pretty sure I'll be attending TSU!

Edit: Okay, nevermind. For some reason I get all these posts late haha congrats!
 
Do you guys know how to go about paying the deposit? Is there a way we can do it online or do we have to call the bursar's office?

I think we have to call, but I tried yesterday and got a really strange voice mail about them being closed from December something to January something and how they'd call back after. I'm going to try again today.

I just called the bursars office, told them I needed to pay my occupational therapy program fee, and I was sent to someone in the cashier's office who looked up my T number (because I didn't know how to find that) based on my name and SS#. Then I had to give them my credit card information.

Has there been a Facebook group created for us yet? I know the first year students told me there would be one set up for us... Just wondering if anyone has seen anything!

Besides making the phone call , has anyone else found out a way to pay the deposit online? When I called the bursar, no representatives were available .
 
I haven't paid mine yet. Just found out I was accepted to SLU this morning, so I'll be giving up my spot at TSU.
 
I'm assuming I didn't get accepted, but I'm hoping I'm at least on the waitlist. Dr. Snyder told me everything should be done by Friday, however I haven't heard anything. I've tried calling, but I believe the school is closed due to the weather. If anybody has any info. to offer as to whether they've been wait listed or rejected please post it on this thread. I'm really hoping to be on the waitlist *fingers crossed*
 
@Futureot87 TSU definitely has been out of school since Monday, so I hope that makes you feel somewhat better about not hearing from them yet. Best of luck to you!!!

Found out I was on the alternate list today. I'm excited since I know there's still hope! Out of curiosity, does anyone know the total out of state tuition cost? I thought perhaps it was mentioned at the orientation after the interviews.
 
I totaled it up based on their tuition rates on their website and the hours per semester and it was a little under 70k, but I would call their financial aid office to clarify.
 
I also just declined my place at their program, so good luck to any of you guys that may be on the alternate list!!

Are any of y'all considering programs other than TSU's? What do you feel are the pros/cons for TSU? I'm having an extremely tough time making a decision between programs, particularly TSU and University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis.

I have applied as well but have yet to hear anything. I was looking at the timeline from last year and it said end of November..however many schools are behind this year so that's what I'm assuming we haven't heard anything

DO you know what their class size is? and how many students tend to apply? I'm not really sure where I stand a chance, because my GPA is on the lower end.

I am a prospective student for TSU's OT class that begins in the fall of 2016. Would anyone be willing to give me some pointers about how to best prepare for the interview? I am super nervous

Have not yet heard from them, I have heard that only the top 60 applicants get interviews, and they are held on January 30 this year. Ive read on the forum previously that sometimes they notify a week or two in advance, and people do decline their interview spots, not sure if there is a second round of interviews. I really hope that I get an interview, have gotten rejected from two schools so far, not sure how competitive TSU is.

I emailed Dr. Snyder about a week and a half ago and he said interviews will be the last Friday of this month and that they would be sending out invitations for interviews this week. My friend and I both applied to the program but neither of us have heard anything yet.

I have as well emailed TSU's admissions director Debra, and she said the same response. She said if we haven't been notified by the end of Friday then we probably didn't get an invite to the "open house" and will get another response by the 29th of January..good luck everyone I am waiting patiently as well!
