Tension in string

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
So if im swinging a a yoyo around vertically is the tension in the string constant at all times? If not then when is the tension highest or lowest? thanks

I'm kind of rusty with circular motion, but if I'm not mistaken the net force should be equal to the tension.

So T=mv^2/r.

Assuming you aren't wrapping the string around your finger (decreasing the radius), the tension should not change.

Net force should be constant. Since you have the gravity to add or subtract as well, the tension will keep changing. Highest at the bottom, lowest at the top.

Tension is not constant. And tension will be greatest when theta (angle from equilibrium) = 0. So when yoyo is directly hanging straight downwards.

Edit: oops! didn't know others had answered already.
