We're supposed to make a list of "intended" schools to submit with our materials for our prehealth rec letter, which feels a bit pointless seeing as MCAT has no consideration in this / almost no one has taken it yet, but I was thinking about schools to apply to.

My app is nothing special but is reasonably competitive for DO. Have lots of clinical volunteering, work w underserved populations, some unique stuff regarding creative writing/awards, shadowing diff specialties, etc and several peer reviewed publications (if research makes a difference for DO). 3.7c/3.5s sharp upward trend

PCOM (both campuses), CCOM, LECOM, NYIT, Touro-NY, UNECOM, VCOM, OUHCOM

If possible, I probably need to stick with the east coast but can expand a bit if needed, and I'd ideally like to avoid very rural/southern areas, being a racial minority (not urm or orm). Am I being way too picky with my options?

EDIT: Including the California ones if they don't have regional bias like their MD schools

Not 100% sure but I think California DO schools are not necessarily in state biased but they just get way more in state applicants so their classes are more IS heavy.
