probably a really dumb question.
when i hear the term primary care it seems to be the type of doctor such as general practitioner or family doc that you generally see.
what do you call other doctors such as surgery, radiologist, etc? is there a collective term? i'm working on secondary essays and they ask my career ambitions with examples like academic medicine, primary care, research, etc.. but i don't know what group you would use to call the specialties listed above
