Does anyone know what are the rules at the test center?

Are you allowed to bring a snack/food or bottled water into the testing room? If not can you keep it in a locker and get it during your break?

Are you allowed to use the bathroom during the 10 minute allowed break? (Obviously yes I assume, since you can even during a section, although the clock keeps running)

There is a locker to store everything except your ID, which is the only thing you can bring into the room(jackets I think are ok if you leave them on). They provide pencils and paper.

You can eat/drink and use the bathroom during the break.

It took me like 3 minutes to get signed out (fingerprinting out , signing out etc.) then 3 minutes to get signed back in since they're fingerprint machine was having issues. It's really easy to get off track and lose track of time on those breaks.

I think we should all buy a prometric monkey as a souvenir!

Thanks! My MCAT instructor with Kaplan said that not all test centers allow food/drink during the break, which is why I made this thread. I guess I will call my local Prometric center and make sure as that's pretty important to know beforehand. I figure most do allow it tho.

I took the test on Tuesday at a Prometric center in NYC (One Penn Plaza). They were incredibly strict about everything, including food. There was a giant sign in the waiting/locker area saying "absolutely no eating in this area," and a similar sign in the hallway right outside the center entrance. So the only way you could eat on breaks was to bring an energy bar into the ladies' room and wolf it down there. (Luckily the bathroom had a second room that was separate from the stalls, so you could eat in there without it feeling so strange.)

It would have been suicidal to think of trying to go outside the building to eat. (Just the trip up and down on the elevator, plus going through security, would have eaten up your whole break.)
