Texas COM--required to take the USMLE???

For those of you who attend TCOM or know anything about the program...I just heard that students there are REQUIRED to take both the USMLE as well as the osteopathic board. Is this true? If so, is it true for all TCOM students or only those who plan to practice in Texas? If you know anything about this, please let us know. Thanks!

No, at least not as of last month. It was made very clear when I interviewed that they support taking the USMLE, administer it on campus, but they do not require it. Most people take it for residency matching later. Call the office if you want to confirm this.
