Thanks, Yourmom25! Now I just have to convince myself that we can trust the TMDSAS ppl. 😕 Afterall, they ARE the evil ones who are torturing us and holding our futures hostage. Trusting TMDSAS = Stockholm syndrome, no? :laugh:

I'll send some to my interviewers saying that their white coat was attention-drawing and then add a comment that it made me envious.

I wouldn't worry about the validation date. Think of all the people they had to validate who had an interview (several thousand people combing through the fine details of their coursework). I bet they are behind and just haven't finished validating everyone.

for some reason, the only thing i read in pitupitu's quoted post was "cleavage." i think i focused on that word for at least 5 seconds. hahaha.

What the hell I just realized it's the 13th.. I thought the match was going to be posted tonite!
 
I have to teach tomorrow night. I'm going to rip some poor kid's head off when he/she/it (****) asks about the match.

My last LMFU was Jan 12, right after my last interview. That said, my lack of a Validation Date has me scared sh**less!

2 subjects for tpr. I'll give you 2 hints.

Q1. A person who recently found out that he did not match decides to go for a walk. Upon viewing a train moving at 100 Km/Hr, he decides that it might be a good idea to lay on the tracks. How much force if the train weighs 50000 Kg is imparted on the person?
A. 0N b/c the train is not accelerating B. A lot

Q2. A person who recently found out that he matched to medical school goes drinking. In his drunken stupor he sees a cingular wireless guy. Is this logo:
a. diastereomer b. meso compound c. telling you to drink more

hahah a few days ago, i was worried about the same thing. then after soonerfan actually talked to TMDSAS (i hope he/she actually did and isn't pulling our legs), i stopped being worried. i'm not sure what your LMFU means. in any case, no reason to stress about it. hahah nothing you can do at this point; at least that's my reasoning.

how is teaching for TPR? i was invited to teach verbal but declined because i wasn't going to make as much money there.

It's OK, just copy off of yourmom 😀

Teaching for them is nice after you finish the first round of classes there. You basically never have to touch your notes again after that.
 
I know that tomorrow is going to be filled with a tad bit of anxiety; however, mixed in between the hairpulling and the beer chugging, don't forget that tomorrow is Valentine's Day. I almost did, which would have been deadly since it's my first with my wife.

lol, that's some good advice people. lucky for me, my gf is in houston and i'm in dfw so i had to order the flowers really early and then get a friend to buy and give her the chocolates she loves.
 
I've been listening to "Que sera, sera" on repeat for the last hour. I'd recommend it, its quite calming.

Last year a very studly and tuberous SDNer found a backdoor way of figuring out early if you got accepted/matched at UTSW.

Go to this URL and using your interviewee login and password, try logging into some of the applications, like the Housing Info page. The Big Sib one might not work like last year. In 2006, everyone who was able to log in ended up matching.

Of course, we need positive controls here, so those of you with pre-match acceptances, see what happens when you go to that page. Also keep in mind the admissions system is a little different this year, so things may not be as exactly as they were last cycle.

Edit: OK maybe I was a little harsh, but you should really try to be more sensitive. You're messing with ppl who are on the verge of a nervous breakdown as it is!
 
I was hoping you really could.... not that I interviewed there, but just because then we'd have something exciting to talk about......

It helps pass the time for that rest of us!!!

I'm a he, and yes I actually did call TMDSAS. The funny thing was the lady who answered was quite nice to me. Plus, with all the tension I wouldn't even think about lying or pulling anyone's leg.
Here's a theory: Maybe TMDSAS is validating everyone, as slowly as it may seem, but they are doing so in a chronological or alphabetical fashion.
Interviewed Dec 1. Last name starts with an "S". Validation= 000000. 😎

I understand but I just think that worrying about the match isn't really going to make any difference to the end result. So why put yourself under undue stress?

Relax and go hug your gf or bf or the homeless guy on the street, they need some loving too.

hahahah nice. sorry i was doubting you. i don't know who the gunners are, trying to pull fast ones on me. i should have guessed you were a he because of the beavis and butthead avatar haha.

also i think your theory is correct. most of the people with validation dates interviewed pretty early in the cycle. i interviewed in late november at TAMU.

Hey, I've been trying to resize the kitty pic that you posted (to use as my avatar...I know, cheesy). I saved it to my PC, but I can't get it to resize.😕

Edit: BTW, my bf is outta state at the moment (or should I say, "outta the country," since we are in TX lol), and I ain't huggin' no homeless guys!
 
sorry to disappoint, i have a validation date and i interviewed late november early december and my last name is Xia, which is kinda at the end of the alphabet. On the other hand I don't have a LMFU change since 12/26 which prolly means that I fail at life.. And i'm too scared to check the UTSW log in thing even though I interviewed there because I REALLY WANT TO GET IN!!!
 
snowtown, can you log in solely at the interview page or at the student page with all the info on residential stuff??

I think validation date has to do with the time you turned in application. I submitted my primary really late, 10 days before the deadline. I interviewed at 2 schools and validation is 0000000. Anyone submitted application late with a validation date will disprove my theory. anyone?
 
I was processed 10/04, don't remember when I submitted my app (just that i took the august mcat) and have a validation date...

I was all complete with TMDSAS in July, and I still have no Validation. 🙁
 
On the TMDSAS website, it says this. I'm not sure if you guys posted anything about it yet or not...

"IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS

Final Match results will be available at 12:01 am (Central Time) on February 15th. To view Match results, log in to your [Status of Application & Documents Received] page and click on [Enter School Match Preferences]. If you matched, the school will be listed towards the bottom of the page. "
 
I guess match day is coming very fast!!!
