I put my class level by year instead of by credits, and they changed it. Also, engineering courses are considered "other science," so your hands are tied there.
does "other science" still get included in BCPM?I put my class level by year instead of by credits, and they changed it. Also, engineering courses are considered "other science," so your hands are tied there.
congrats on the Vandy interview. They do. I just noticed that "BCPM" is nowhere on the TMDSAS website. It's just called science GPA.

Does anyone know if Tech offers a shuttle to the airport at the end of the interview day? It says on their website they "offer transportation" but I don't know if that means that they call a cab for you and that's it. 🙄
It would be nice if they offered a shuttle!
Also, anyone staying at the Clarion for their interview at Tech on Friday?
Good luck to everyone at tomorrow's A&M interview. I will be wearing a black pinstripe suit, red shirt, and white tie. Say hi!
i've heard recently that all you are only obligated to put bio, chem, phys, math (BCPM) as science courses. everything else can be put as Non-science when u do the course work section. All Tmdsas does is that they match the transcript with the courses you put in your course work section, and check if BCPM have been recorded as science. then again, I could have been hearing the wrong stuff.
The reason i am concerned is that, because my first year was mostly BCPM courses, and then slowing progressing into BME classes. And since i didnt do hot on my BME classes, and really good in my BCPM classes, my science GPA decreased each year. And ive heard that med schools look for upward trends. So even if i get interviews, these downward trends could come bite me in the ass come acceptance times.
But then again, it could be that tmdsas converts BME classes to science even if i were to put it as non-science, and everything ive worrying about is moot point.
Hey I just got in to college station for the interview tommorow and brought everything they sent me except the letter that came with it. I think we have to get there at 7:00, does anyone know the building and room number, I just know to park in lot 72
The building is called Reynolds, we will meet in the lobby. Park in lot 72 and it will be the building west of the lot. You can PM me and I'll give you my number if you need it. I will only be online for a bit more. O and it says to be there 10 minutes before 7!
i just got an interview for Galveston and was wondering what the best mode of transportation is and the best hotel to stay at
im planning on flying into houston TX from WI. i'd like to not have to rent a car since they rip me off cuz im under 25. is getting a taxi alright or would that be as costly as a car rental.
also, does anyone know of any good, reasonably-priced hotels near the SOM
thanks!!!
Ok, I need some opinions.
I turned in my app relatively early, and it was processed on 6/13. So far, I've attended 1 interview and gotten invites for this week and next week from the other 3 schools I've applied to that have started interviewing, but nothing from San Antonio.
I think that my application was good enough & sent early enough to warrant an interview, since the other schools seemed interested. And since they only issue invites through snail mail, I'm kind of worried/hoping that maybe my invitation got lost in the mail (One can dream, right? :])
Do you guys think I should ask their admissions office to see the status of my application? Or would that be viewed as neurotic and cocky?
Thanks for your replies! :]

Woo, Baylor started inviting.
Yeah, I got one.
I already owe Chuck money, this'll give him an excuse. How about we merge into the Republic thread?

Damn--- Nothing from Baylor yet, but I am OOS.
3.71, 35, submitted 7/14.
Well, I mean, you can check your status page. I've been complete at Baylor since 7/23 and knew they were looking at my application for about a week now. If you only submitted your AMCAS 7/14, then there's no way they've looked at your file yet. You have to get EVERYTHING complete before they check your file.
My status page says it has "been reviewed." But that may not mean they have actually looked at it. That could be a screen, who knows?
Baylor has invited? I didn't get anything yet 🙁
-Edit-
Looks like the non-URM person above me was processed much earlier. Still some hope! Anyways, I do want a good gap between my interviews so I can try to get a handle on the interview process.
So i got processed 8/1, would you guys consider this late? I'm starting to freak out after seeing all these interviews🙁
A&M interview went great. Glad to have met some of you!
my username (also my email) came up in both interviews! haha, those were great icebreakers to get the interviewers laughing!
I hope you have not said anything risky on SDN. Do you think an adcom would review this site when considering an application? If so, my real name is Todd and I really don't have any interviews, MCAT score, or gpa.
What? That's really the only good conclusion I can draw.
You're going to be hearing a lot about being a URM so get used to it.
