It's $150 but I took the test Saturday in less than 20 minutes and passed easily. It's worth it if you want to pass and are crunched for time.

Yeah... I had to pony up for the UTMB book. What a hassle. Ughhhh... Texas is one pain in the arse license to get.
 
Start the process early. It takes time depending on the time of year.
 
My hospital library had the book to check out. You actually have to read it, and it's incredibly dry. It made me happy that I did not choose law school. The questions on the test ask specifics like, "How many days do you have to notify your patients that you are closing your practice?" Or "What class of misdemeanor is it to practice with an expired license?" And so forth. Note that those are generic questions and not ones that I specifically "recalled" from the test.
