Hi guys! Hope all is well. So I am applying for my Texas medical board license and on the application in regards to leave of absence I wrote no ( TOTALLY FORGETTING I TOOK LOA to study for step 1) I was informed of this and had to write a statement as to why I wrote no when the answer was yes. I still finished medical school less than 4 years. This was truly an honest mistake and I expressed that throughout my statement that I had to provide. Otherwise, I am board certified, finished residency in 3 years. Everything else is squeaky clean on my application just that one MISTAKE.

Now, my application has to be reviewed by the entire committee. I am so nervous. I know Texas is strict. This was an honest mistake.

Anyone ever made this mistake and things turned out ok?

Thanks guys!
