texas state dental license

Anyone knows if texas state board accepts the CRDTS score which is more than 5 years old. (As per the website, they only accept within 5 years).

I'm 5+ years out of dental school and wondering if I need to apply for licensure by credentials (but the fee is $3000)???

Tried calling them but they haven't returned the call as yet.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Given that they state they'll only take a test that is 5 years old, I suspect they'll only take a test that's 5 years old or less.

I think you would be applying by credentials. Do you have a license in another state? I'd want to avoid taking another licensing exam at all costs lol.

I do but I'm looking to move. I took CRDTS back in 2011. If they don't accept my CRDTS score, licensure by credentials is very expensive. $3000.

Wonder if anyone else moved to texas and was in similar situation?

It's the cost of doing business and will be much easier than taking another licensing exam.

I got my license here in texas 2 months short of 5 years.

Reasoning is likely that as an established dentist you should be able to afford a fee that new grad can't.

The board is the worse... I've tried calling and emailing and never got a response. I had questions regarding getting a license by credentials and nobody got back to me and it's been almost 2 months
