I got a rental car.. That's really the most convenient way to get around..it was abt $100 for two days..

If some of you guys are as cheap as I was last year, you could split a taxi with other fellow interviewees. It'll cost around $20 one way trip to and from the airport.
The only issue I had during my interview last year was that there wasn't anywhere to eat that was next to the Best Western I stayed at the night before. There's a nice restaurant called Joe Taco right next to it but it was closed by the time I got there.

Question for the ladies who have interviewed/are going to interview.
What are you wearing to this interview? For my others I have worn heels, but since this interview is ALL DAY I don't think they will be comfortable. Do you think some nice flats are appropriate or should I grin and bear it? Any suggestions?

I would wear some nice flats if I were u because you're going to be walking a lot that day and the interview is at the end of the day so you don't wanna be in pain. Try to be as comfortable as u can so u can focus on the more important things =)

In Abilene's interview, it felt like we were sitting the majority of the time. I wore heels but they weren't very high. I never wear heels so I was proud of myself that I lasted all day with them. My feet hurt a little by the end of the day but I did try to find "comfortable" heels. So if you are used to wearing heels you will be okay.

I've my interview at Amarillo on Feb 11th. For those who've already had interviews, how did you prepare and how did you feel about it after it was over?

Ladies: Hair up or down? I know putting long hair up is more professional but my problem is, is that I have bangs and my bangs really get annoying when I put my hair up. However, my hair is pretty long.
I had my hair down. It's more comfortable for me to wear it down. I would say go with what's more comfortable so you won't have another thing to worry about at the interview. The majority of the females had their hair down when I interviewed.

As far as the appearance of your hair goes, it won't matter as long as you're well groomed. I personally had very long hair when I interviewed. I had a side part and pulled it back into a low ponytail.
Like I said it really doesn't matter as long as it's out of your face and you're comfortable. I have seen interviews where girls will continuously put their hair behind their ears, or twirl their hair with their fingers while answering questions. These are HUGE distractions when being interviewed. So if you have bad habits such as these, pull that hair back. 🙂
Just go to the interview feedback , and just practice those question and come up with situations.
Even though i felt like the situations that i came up with , i forgot during the interview. The interviewers very nice and gave me time to gather my thoughts. Overall i thought i did pretty good. just relax and be confident !!!

Same here! But someone else in this forum had said that any acceptance letters would only be sent around the 20th so I'm confused.

From my understanding of what was said at my Jan. 28th interview Merlin will show the offer under the Admissions Offer tab.

Really? Are you really sure about that? I heard it was towards the end of the month also.

So you're only gonna hear back from them this weekend if you interviewed on january 14th or january 28th rite? the feb interviewees dont count?

The news may be a day delayed now. We had a pretty rough winter storm yesterday in Amarillo and all schools in the area are closed today including the pharmacy school.

Yeahhh...I've been checking the weather reports a lot the past couple of days. I hope we hear about this soon. My flight is tomorrow afternoon.

I dont think the interview has been delayed or rescheduled. The highs in Amarillo tomorrow are in the 40s. Good luck to everyone interviewing tomorrow. 🙂 I'll see you guys soon!
For those that interviewed in January... Do you think we should know something this weekend? Or "patiently" wait another 2 weeks for letters to come in??? Lol

Same here...the wait is horrible because i'm so curious!..someone in this forum said they had actually talked to the school people last week and they were told that the admission letters for some very lucky january interviewees would be sent yesterday..so i think that if you get in, you should know this weekend, unless the weather caused any delays ...

I think on their website it says it'll be posted on Merlin within 3 days or so and your real letter will be sent within 7 days. Something like that. I can't remember where I saw it. I'm sure yall should hear soon.

At the time we have completed all reviews, typically in early May, within 48 hours we will post your status on the SOP Admissions WEB page, and within 7-10 working days, send you a letter notifying you that you have either been admitted or have been placed on the alternate list.

You mean the letters are sent through mail? So we won't know through Merlin?

Hey, I emailed the advisor and she said that due to the bad weather, the adcom could not meet last week to discuss the January interviewees so nobody's going to hear anything this weekend. They are planning to meet sometime this week. She said they will send out acceptance letters and then post it on Merlin 10 days after the letters are sent. Let's just be patient =), at least our interviews and applications are over and there's nothing left for us to worry about.

Oh...;( Sad. I wanted to know before my other interviews. Because Tech is my number one choice 😛
