I interviewed the 28th of January at Abilene. Thank you!!!

They still have not changed my status yet, but they called in regard to my tetanus and chicken pox immunizations. Then, during the call, they followed it up with a "you know what this call means?" I replied, "I got accepted?!?" She said, "Yes you did!" What an amazing feeling!

Good luck to everyone else still waiting for the reply and I wish you all the best!!!

Congratulations!!! If I may ask, you turned in all your immunization records on the day of the interview correct? And they just call to verify additional information? (and obviously tell you you're accepted)

I turned in all that I had but I still don't have the tetanus booster or the varicella titer in order to prove I had chicken pox so they did let me know I needed to obtain them. The best place to obtain them (if you don't have insurance or your insurance will not cover it) is at your county's public health clinic. $20 for tetanus boosters or TB skin test and $40 for the varicella titer in the DFW area. Good luck!

Still Waiting....and slowly losing hope 🙁

Don't lose hope. I got wait-listed at another school and I just kept going strong. I have been given the opportunity and I never lost hope throughout. Stay positive and things will go your way!

There is also form which you can just sign and date if you have had chicken.put like an approximate date , they are pretty chill about that.

As of last Friday, I was told that 22 acceptance letters were sent for the Abilene campus. You have to remember that all of these individuals may not accept the offer.

Congrats to those who know! And if you're still waiting, don't lose hope! There's still plenty of room!!!!!!!

Sweet deal! I will definitely find the form and save $40!!! Thank you!!!

congrats!!!!!! Do u mind sharing ur stats w/ us?

My stats are:

B.S. Chemistry (TCU), M.S. Organic Chemistry (Berkeley)
GPA: 4.0 (Bachelor's), 3.76 (Master's)
PCAT: 89%
CPhT with nearly a year of experience at CVS

The road wasn't easy to get to this point but overcoming obstacles and adversity to do something you really love was all more than worth it!

Congrats! How did you find out? Just wondering if the Merlin account has updated for the second round of acceptances.

So basically you are out of luck if you are in the last batch of interview meaning your file is only looked at once? 😕 I interview on the 18th but I am trying to stay positive. The last but not the least!😎

I just declined my offer from Tech... Good luck everyone! 🙂

I interviewed 1/14/11 in amarillo. don't stress plenty of time

No my friend who is currently a P2 said the latter the better.
A. u dont get stressed out
B.they really pay attention to your file because by that time they start getting rejected too. lol

Has anyone who interviewed on Feb 11th at Amarillo received an acceptance yet?

lol very well said. I am sure you will get in. Call them and ask every week about the letters going out ect....Thats going to show that you are really concerned. Did you apply to other schools as well in TX?

No this is most definitely wrong. Earlier is better because you get more chances to get considered for admission. It doesn't affect the school too much if students pick other schools over them because they can always fill those seats with people who interviewed earlier but were rejected then. Rolling admission always benefits those who apply and interview earlier. Plus, wouldn't you be less stressed if you found out you got in early rather than later?

Then again there are a LOT of people in my class who got in during the last round of consideration so don't lose hope.

Me too🙁

Don't worry, we still have time. Someone mentioned a few pages back that there is going to be a meeting this week to determine the second big batch of acceptances.

I think I remember Mike Nall saying that we would know if we got accepted around March 4th for the second batch.

Why did you decline UIW? How was U of H? I am dying to interview there but no response yet 🙁🙁

^^Yeah, I haven't heard anything of UofH either. =(

abin0077: Did you decline the offer for OU??

Hey guys I received a letter for an interview in February, I choose the last day stupidly (March 18th)... Anyway I was wondering if anyone knows if the interview is the only thing that effects if we get accepted now or do our grades still play a huge part? I only ask because I would assume that our grades were good enough to get us an interview that now it depends on our interview?😕

Correct. Your grades and PCAT gets you to the interview then you interview gets you an acceptance. The earlier the better because Tech is rolling admissions

Your interview will determine your acceptance...however, if you have any C or D or F on any of your prereq...then you will have some points taken off from your interview points. I just want to say that my stats are not the BEST like others have posted before me...but I felt my interview has really "sealed the deal" with Tech...so open yourself up to your interviewers!

Thanks a bunch guys, I am pretty confident in my interviewing abilities plus I have never made below a B so hopefully I'll be okay. I was just a little intimidated by the people with 4.0's and 99% PCAT scores.🙂

Are you going Abilene or Amarillo?

I am interviewing in Amarillo... but I should have chosen Abilene since it is a lot closer to Austin (where I go to school now).

Just email Mr Mike S. (I cannot speel his last name but you know who) in Amarillo. He can switch you to Abilene if spots are available. They just did that for me two days ago.

I talked to student services today and I was told that some letters are being mailed out today but unfortunately my name was not on the list. I called my advisor and he said that the admission committee will be meeting next week to discuss feb 18th interviews and up....... I hope those of us still waiting hear some good news next week.:xf:

Did anyone else have a re-scheduled interview from Feb. 4th to another date because the Abilene interview was canceled due to the weather? I remember the e-mail saying that our interviews would be considered as re-schedules and be sent to the admissions committee immediately.

Speaking of winter weather, did the current students have to make up for school cancellations due to snow earlier this year?

I thought those of us that interviewed on Feb 18 would hear from Texas Tech tomorrow.....I don't know if I can take another week of waiting...LOL

How did you know your name wasn't on the list? Did they flat out tell you?

Lol they would probably really hate us if we all called up there to see if our names were on the list.
