Hey guys!

I am currently studying for my DAT and I can tackle all the other subsections in PAT but TFE gives me the most trouble. I have been doing the TFE generators with DAT bootcamp but I wasn't sure if you guys had tips on different ways to tackle these problems!

Thanks guys!

First thing I always did was to look at the answer options and notice the differences between them. I found that usually, between glancing at the 2 images given and the answer choices, you could narrow it down to 2 in less than 10 seconds. For me this helped a ton because then I could just focus on the differences between those 2 and usually (at least for me) it came down to whether a line was dashed, solid, or missing all together. Find the line different, try to visualize the object in 3d and determine the answer from there. I know this doesn't work for all questions, but it helped me with a few and doing 5 or so pretty quick then allows you to spend more time on some of the difficult ones! This is just how I tackled these problems and it seemed to work pretty well for me. Hope this helps!

TFE and pattern folding are my hardest subjects. I can usually ace the Bootcamp TFE generators within 30sec or so, but the TFE on the full PAT practice test is killer (usually run out of time because they're much more complex). Does anyone know how the real DAT TFE compare to Bootcamp's? Are they more similar to the generators or the practice tests?
Probably more like the practice tests but I really feel that using the generators daily prepared me well for the real thing, especially taking the time after every question to look closely at the 3D image they give you and understanding what every single line referred to

It might have just been my DAT, but I took the DAT Monday and my TFE was a joke, nowhere near what I had to practice in Bootcamp. Some of my keyholes on the other hand were harder that bootcamp, specifically the rock problem I got....
