Guys, please suggest what is the best method to use for TFE. I know that line counting does not work anymore. How do you approach these questions? What is your process of thinking? Thank you!

No short cuts here. Mentally match each possible choice to the given figure. DAT Bootcamp provides excellent explanations to each practice problem. It took me 2 straight weeks of feeling frustrated and hopeless where i would average 16-17 on each section, but something clicked out of nowhere and I now comfortably average 25+ on each practice PAT section. If you look at the success stories (23+ on each section) on Bootcamp, I'm pretty sure most, if not all, felt extremely uncomfortable with this section at the start. You will realize this is not rocket science but more systematic type of thinking. Just stay patient.

The test writers have deliberately made this section to test your ability to formulate 3D model out of the projections given. So no shortcut tricks recommended other than practicing a lot only with good sources of questions (bootcamp, genius, achiever) that would gear you to the right direction.

Like everyone says here, utilize those 3D models that DAT Bootcamp (or other softwares) provides. SLOWLY rotate each 3D model and see how the "top" image matches with the "front" image, how the "end" image matches the "front" image, etc. Try to understand how the EDGES of the top, front, and end all match up in the 3D model and then keep practicing on conjuring up the 3D model in your mind by "gluing" those top, front, end images by their corresponding edges. You don't have to be able to visualize ALL the single details of the entire 3D structure in at once. Take only two images at a time (top and front, front and end, etc.) and then eliminate answers right away. From my experience you can eliminate one answer choice right away (several times even two) by just focusing on two sides at a time.
