dubby. would you believe me if i told u that, prior to filling out the AMCAS app, i really didnt knw schools placed so much emphasis on ECs??

all i thought was i needed a gpa and an mcat.
and when i filled out my amcas, i was amazed that i had stuff to fill it out with

of the 15 stuff, only one of them is slightly motivated by med school, which is the summer of research.

everything else, like student council, peer tutoring, volunteering, raising money and organizing events.... i had no CLUE med schools wanted that.

so im really honoured and touched that schools offer me interveiw invites... its kinda like... they want me for the real me...

a really nice feeling... to realize that what i am is what at least, mount sinai wants.... 😳😳😳😳

i had a blast in undergrad😛

had an amazing time. and i really hope to continue that in med school=P

i demand that in all my interviews, i tell them. im not here just for medicine. i want a really good environment where i can do everything else.👍👍👍👍

to be honest, i would really love to go into surgery. fix some ppl up, and reunite them with my family... i tink bringing ppl back to health (surgery or not) and reuniting them with their loved ones is some of the greatest things a doctor can achieve... 😳

i was told never to do EM by the doctors i shadowed because ur life is the hospital, and you can never go private, or set up your own clinic. so maybe ill share that.

I dont want to own my own business....I like to get out and move on when I want....

You can form an EM group...they are private.

Actually, in EM, you spend less time there. 32-40hrs/wk full-time.


No rounding or call....or rare call......plus, I love the excitement!! I loved volunteering in the ER and could def see myself in there. I have a cowboy personality and love craziness....🙂
