Thanks giving week

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
@Goro, @gyngyn, @LizzyM and other adcoms, How does your thanksgiving week looks like? Work on monday and tuesday, then off for the rest of the week or else??

Thanks again.
I have stuff to do on Monday and Tuesday, and off Wed with the rest of my colleagues.

I'll be cooking.

So you guys wont be reviewing files on those days (Monday and Tuesday) right?

Me, no...my interviewing is done for this year...My busiest time was Sept/Oct. Not all Adcoms do Adcom work every week...we have our real jobs to deal with.

Adcom work is a service thing that's part of the triad for Faculty responsibility: teaching/service/scholarly activity.

Nooooo I wanted you to potentially interview me :'-(

These days, applications can be reviewed from home and while you might not hear from the admissions office from Wed-Sunday, it is possible that some adcom members will take a break from the Thanksgiving house guests and read some files. 😉

Not going to say if that's what I'll be doing.
