And yeah, that was a nasty fall. Horse looked lame to me when he walked off and they pulled the screen around him. That always makes me nervous. 🙁

Time looks tough! I know Karen went for the US. Mr Medicott has a great round even though he looked really keen. Did I miss anyone else?

Yea! And that last run was great for German! Almost 10 sec under the allowed time!

I haven't been attention to German riding much so I didn't know about her before, but wow. That was awesome. Maybe I can find a website to watch some more German competitions in the future!

Philliab, doesn't it count for something that Klimke was faster than Algotsson or does it only matter that you don't have jumping faults and are under the time? Because they are both tied for first..

As far as I know, it doesn't matter since they were under the time allowed. Used to be (in the old days and way before my time) that you actually got bonus points for going fast on course. I have a feeling that the disasters caused by people racing across those huge jumps is the reason they did away with it. The SJ will have to sort out any ties.

And did you see the 20 year old ride (for Australia, I think)? 😱 She made me super nervous! Way too fast in spots.

Crap! What happened? I missed it as well.

I did just read that the Japanese horse that somersaulted walked away from it just fine. So that's some good news. 👍

Apparently the Irish horse fell at 24b, and they put up the curtain and had the horse ambulance. Just saw an update that the horse was up and walking. 👍
