I wouldn't worry about this. People will always need a dentist as long as candy/sugar remain a part of the diet and even then, the regrowing of teeth doesn't fix the other problems a patient could have; gums, roots, underlying bone structure etc...

No way. Do you realize how much this would cost? This would make crowns look like sealants. Most people can't even afford implants, let alone harvesting their own stem cells, growing a tooth in a lab, and then having it surgically placed in their jaws. This sounds like in vitro fertilization which cost like $40k. But for a tooth? Sure.
