Hey guys, I'm in the process of trying to prepare for my interviews, and I was looking around for some books/guidelines that I can read about to better myself for these interviews. I stutter, I sweat, and I get into a nervous breakdown when I face interviews. Could you guys please recommend me how to best prepare as well as maybe some books that I can read about interviews?

Thanks!

Bump

I'm on the same boat!! I'm usually super cool with patients and people I'm familiar with but talking to an authority figure and I get shaky and antsy. Once I even cried during an interview. O.O It was traumatizing.

Anyway, browsing 'interview help' on amazon now. Let me know if you find anything ^^

don't read any books. just practice. find a dentist you've shadowed. befriend some of the students at the dental school and hold mock interviews with as many people as you can. the more you get the "feel" of the interview the easier it is. but trying to have a mock with current dental students is amazing. i remember that helping me the most as it was a group of them and i got "coached". sure it was super awkward but you gotta think ... they have been in the EXACT spot you are about to go through. it never hurts to ask.

No book needed.
Just do a mock interview. Find some FAQ and try to answer it in front a panel of your friends of some thing.
Don't rehearse it too much, cause then it becomes unnatural and fake.
