I thought I would compile a list of frequently mentioned answers in one thread. This is half serious half joking, but really...for all you new people (who typ lyk deeshh pllzzzz!) just pick an answer from here at random and, chances are, it will answer your question.

All others are invited to post up "answers" as well. Here goes...


1) Pharmacists don't count just pills all day.
2) Yes, you have a good chance of getting in with ___ GPA.
3) You need to apply early for those schools with rolling admissions
4) Go back to community college to retake classes
5) No, the mean GPA means half had GPA's higher than that, half had their's lower.
6) If you don't meet the minimum requirement...don't even bother applying.
7) Yes, you're getting shafted...every other pharmacy tech is making more than you.
8) Please use correct English, no one can understand what you wrote.
9) Why yes, every PharmD wishes they went to medical school because there are no TV shows called House, PharmD.
10) Yes, adcom people read facebook and THEY ARE OUT TO GET YOU!
11) Your friend does not have a 4.0, they are lying.
12) Why of course, retail pharmacy is the end all be all of the profession.

14. Yes, applying and getting those LoRs in is a pain in the ass.

(I haven't applied yet, but I think this is common knowledge regardless of what grad/professional school you apply to)

Law of rankings: Rankings are always wrong, unless you're #1, then they are always right.

It's kind of funny, but UCSF is always at the top of any ratings scale. It's about the only pharm rating people seem to consistently agree on.
