The Most Negative Forum

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I must agree with you.

All I want is a real anesthesiology forum, speaking only of anesthesiology (not salary and academic BS).

my 2 cents.

You're free to start your own forum if you want, however there are plenty of clinical discussions here. It's not hard to figure out what a thread will be about by examining the title. Based on what you're looking for, it doesn't sound like this one is right for you.

BTW, a "real anesthesiology forum" would be free to discuss all aspects of the practice of anesthesia. No?

Guns are indeed an aspect of anesthesiology. I used to shoot my patients before going to surgery.

Hate to tell ya but no one gives a rats ass about you or your guns or your ridiculously overpriced douche-mobile!

I would love to post pictures as well but, I am the mosted wanted man on Murse-Fantasyland.org. Even with all my pistols, shotguns, rifles, etc. the militants want me buried.

There is still gold under the rainbow.

Just another upset militant nurse.

Have you attended the CRNA mill yet or are you still working on your ICU time? Remember to listen to the physician orders in the ICU really well; Apparently, it equals medical school training.:laugh:

You obviously do, or you wouldn't post about it at all.😕 It's something positive to counter all the negativity here, like yours!🙄
All anesthesiologists can afford one as an attending, and there is still gold at the end of the rainbow for someone efficient and willing to work.👍 An anesthesiologist wouldn't be impressed by a Benz, so no douchebaggery here. Have you looked in the Physicians parking lot? There are a lot nicer cars there than I can afford. Many of my surgeon colleagues make 2-3 times what I make. Mine is quite comfortable and roomy, yet quick. Great fun. It also handles better than I expected. Benz has really turned itself around again. I'm a convert, but real driving enthusiasts will probably still prefer an M3, M5 or sport tuned 335.
As you're not even a CRNA, why do you bother to read/post here at all? This forum isn't even for them, it's certainly not for you?
BTW, it's only "ridiculously overpriced" if you can't easily afford it. I find nearly all of Mercedes line to be a fair value for what is offered. You get what you pay for in all of the little details that make a Benz a Benz.

Do the new Mercedes come with sticks or - failing that - some form of paddle shifter that is mechanically analagous to the BMW SMG system?

Back when I bought my M3 in 2002 I ruled out all the Mercedes because of my anti-slushbox snobbery ... at that time they didn't have a real competitor to the E46 M3 anyway. Just wondering if things have changed. I haven't kept up on the latest tech - still concentrating on driving my M3 until its wheels fall off. Coming up on 100K miles now. 🙂

I know plenty of people who work in law and business. Mind you most of them I consider successful, but if I was to post their salary on this forum they would be considered massive failures unable to save for retirement or afford basic necessities.
And everybody always fails to mention the insane hours that ibanking guys work (they also have an avg career span of around 3 years
This.

A relative of mine is in business, was at one time exceedingly successful, and is now pulling in 90k, facing job loss. He faces an uncertain retirement.

Another relative is working 100 hrs a week in corporate law in a huge firm in NYC and is barely making 300,000. The politics stress him out immensely. The job security isn't so hot either.

I'd so rather be an anesthesiologist. My husband is applying to anesthesiology this year and I hope he gets it. I'd be so happy if he didn't have those crazy surgery hours and yet get paid like he was working that long and hard. My friend who is married to a neurosurgeon never sees him and her baby doesn't know who he is...anesthesiologists have it made. That mercedes is proof.

C63 AMG
7 speed auto with wheel mounted paddle shifters.
6.2L V8. 443 lb-ft of torque and 457 horsepower.
It's actually detuned.😱
The E63 AMG is the same engine (518-horsepower, 465 lb-ft of torque):wow:

PGG.... I would also run that vehicle into the ground. E46 is awesome. 👍 Mercedes are catching up for sure. The C63 AMG gives the M3 a run for it's money. 0-60 real values are about .1-.2 seconds faster (C63 AMG). However, as far as drift and control at high speeds the M3 handles better. BMW was wise in putting a V8 into it's M3. A properly tuned C63 AMG has enourmous potential which is why I like it. You can get 0-60 in the mid/high 3's with it. The new styling is a clear improvement in the C class and the interior is nice....

I looked and drove the M3 and the C63 AMG last year. I ended up getting this for 40k less, but I'm not even in the same class:

Biggest drawback is no manual.... IMO. Great creeper vehicle though.

If I had it, I'd be that a**hole driving 5 miles under the speed limit. :ninja:
