We've all been blessed by the likes of Goljan and his various presents, some legal and some not. I am wondering if there are any other sources like him which are incredibly integrative with a clinical/board twist. Are there other sources out there that by simply digesting them, the student gets a better overall understanding of medicine and hopefully therefore a better understanding of the boards. That statement of course assumes that Step 1 reflects an understanding of medicine rather than being a pointless test.

Hopefully this thread stays alive because what us future Step 1 takers need is less threads about scores, but more threads on how to learn.

With that, share any hidden or well known resources, ideas, methods, that can be used to integrate all the information we have learned in the past two years into a functional model to think about medicine and as an extension, do well on step 1.

USMLE Step 1 Secrets is a lot more clinical. It is definitely not for everyone as it is written in question/answer format, but I have found it to be very useful for my USMLE prep as well as studying throughout my course. It really helps put things in context, and that book is single-handedly responsible for my understanding of acid-base balance & electrolytes.
