In lieu of the other threads popping up, I thought it'd be good for those of us taking the test to identify ourselves 👍

I'm not planning on following a rigid study schedule until January, but I think I'm going to watch a single video off of wikipremed daily to lightly review.

Good luck to everyone... we will crush this exam..

2 days? Thought it was Wednesday? Not like I'm counting...

lol...were u really up at 3:13 AM looking at your mcat timer?

same here man, nothing up until a few days ago... have you made your school list yet?

I have started, but so far my list is just a bunch of the northeast schools that I would apply to no matter what my MCAT is (barring a disaster). My committee letter isn't sent out until late June anyway, so I am going to be doing my heavy MSAR searching after the scores come in.

same here. Im debating whether i should even apply AMCAS since I want to stay in Texas and would only go OOS if I got rejected at the texas schools (mainly because of the cost 15k vs 55k)

Seriously. That cost thing is huge. UMass is my #1 choice as of right now, almost entirely because of the savings. I already have a heap of undergrad loans. Don't need 150k more for the same degree

I will be applying mainly DO unless I get a 30+ MCAT. If MCAT > 30, then I will pony up the money and add AMCAS to my list and hopefully get into my state schools to save money. I already owe > $200k for school loans as it is 🙁

Yea and I dont even think I would get any scholarship or in state residence tuition to the other schools. Kinda sucks. The next cheapest is the MAYO at 38K lol.

I'm just frozen in time until we get scores on Weds. Every time I try to work on my PS or write emails to ask for LORs I just can't because it's like we're stuck in limbo until then. The past month hasn't been very productive, and it's a pretty vital month if you want to apply early.

The agony!

you better jump on it. Once June hits, verification takes atleast 1 month if not 7-8 weeks.

yeah im not sure if i'm going to apply to any texas schools besides baylor. i don't feel i have the stats to compete but ill decide after scores are out. i think i'll be fine if i dedicate a full day to it

My time has been well occupied by working and looking for jobs. Thanks God, I was able to find a nice lab job, but the pay is pathetic. I'm still in pursuit for a better job with a better pay, but I'm happy that at least I was able to find a job.

This has helped me dealing with the pain of the wait. I may even forget to check my score...NOT!

After lurking for a bit, I figure what better time to join in on the fun than the day before scores are released. I'M COMPLETELY LOSING MY FREAKING MIND

Are scores ever released early? I know they are sometimes released a few hours before the official 5pmET but ever a day early?

So I decided Im not going to volunteer tomorrow because I'd find out score while in the ED. Instead, I'll probably go workout around 1pm ET, come home and hopefully scores are released by then. 1 more day! And I am turrified but I guess we can't do anything about it now.

This sucks I just know I got owned by the ps section. And the other ones might be a bad surprise :/

At least it was only one section. The verbal and biological sciences sections straight up gang raped me. I walked out of the testing center in a literal daze and I don't know how I made the hour-long drive home without crashing. Tomorrow is going to be a blood bath.

I'm gonna grow a pair and look at my score directly tomorrow instead of covering up the screen and looking at my individual section scores 1by1.

I was supposed to join you guys, but I chickened out and voided because of the PS section.

Just wanted to wish you all luck!!!

And if you get a chance (and are willing), please post your real scores vs. aamc scores vs. how you felt after the exam.

Bio was unbelievable hard for me. I'm scared the most about this section. I remember more questions I answered wrongly than ones I answered correctly :scared:

I think this is only because the problems you struggle with are easier to remember, while those you are confident in, you move past quickly.

Good luck to all of you. This waiting game is terrible. My score is two weeks out but I'm feeling your guys' anxiety myself...

I have been pretty calm throughout this past month. Starting last night, however, my paranoia center has been overactive. I don't want to go through this again. Quite frankly, I don't think I could survive another bout of this.

I should be working on knocking out these next ten pages of this paper I need done by tomorrow, but for some reason I'm just staring at the AAMC mcat page. Maybe if I refresh it enough.....

I'm glad there is at least more than 1 other person on here that also thought Bio was challenging.

If anyone didn't think the Bio passages were challenging, they are either extremely good at doing bio, or they were misled big time. No gray area. The passages I encountered are multiple folds harder than the infamous Ebola passage.

If you don't mind me asking (and I'm not sure how much detail we're allowed to go into), what parts of bio did you find troubling? I thought the o-chem was hard, but that was about it...
