any idea when the the first round of deposits are due,so that the second wave of interviews will be sent?

I don't think they have "waves" of interviews because they've been interviewing for a while (Tues & Thurs I think)

If you mean acceptances, I think their second wave is mid/end of January!
 
Just received an interview and scheduled it for Jan 29th at 11:45. Any advice on how this school compares to midwestern?
 
ASDOH will be releasing some more acceptances monday. unfortunately im in the middle group, but Ms. Baab said i have a good chance? can anyone else confirm this?

I'm in the exact same boat as you I called today and am in the middle group:/ but she said chances are good can anyone confirm?

huh, i wonder what that means then...i called way back in early dec, since i didn't get in on the third, and was told i was also in the middle group 🙂/) and that if i were to receive an acceptance it wouldn't be until march. maybe much fewer people accepted their offer than they anticipated (?), since it sounds like you guys got a different interpretation of 'in the middle,' post-deposit deadline...
 
The only thing I found interesting was how they said your position in each group is not permanent, but rather, fluctuates. So, if someone who interviews and is better, they might push you from the top group to the middle group if they put this new person into the top group. Or, if they put a new person into the middle group, it might push you to the bottom group. Hopefully all of us will just hear soon and won't have to worry about our positions fluctuating and will actually have a shot at an acceptance!

NO i just called
the admissions committee is meeting on MONDAY so i highly doubt that they will be releasing more acceptances then!!

If I contacted back in mid December and got feedback, "You did very well on your interview and received the ranking just below the highest, therefore you are still in the running but was not given first round of acceptance since that is given first to the highest ranking......might be able to get a better assessment when we reconvene in January."
This is the feedback that I got back from admissions. Should I be optimistic? Or when they say that I was right below the highest ranking, does that mean that I am in the middle?

I'm not really sure what that was implying, and nor do I wanna build up your hopes so I won't say anything about that.

I was told however that their ADCOM is meeting up on Monday, so hopefully we'll all hear something next week. And if for some reason you don't hear from them, perhaps try calling and emailing then to find out about your status? Best of luck 🙂
 
I've tried calling and e-mailing neither have been returned on multiple attempts since before the holidays (at least when trying to contact the administrative coordinator Ms. Baab) how are others able to get through?
 
She's been gone and got back on Jan 7th. Have you contacted afterwards? I had the same prob. so just contact the office now.
 
Yea attempt to contact was after Jan 7th and prior to Dec 10th. I'll try the office - thanks.

Yeah i agree because in the email that i got when i asked about when they would send the next set of acceptances they replied saying "The committee will be meeting on Monday to send another round of offers out" so im guessing very soon

I would think they'd let us know within this week since it is "mid-January" haha

Yea, I think they'll be contacting during this week too, especially if they're meeting today. So maybe tomorrow??
 
I wonder if that means that they are not considering those interviewing tomorrow for their next round or acceptances...

Not sure about any of that, but the interviewers did mention to our group that they would like to accept people right on the spot, but were asked not to by the school because it would intimidate other interviewees who didn't get in then, hah.

Don't sweat it though, enjoy your interview tomorrow--I loved it. Food was good. My recommendation is for you to look at ALL the sandwiches first...I picked one up then saw a better one right after...haha.

Anyone interview pre-December still in the running?
I wonder if ASDOH is going to start sending out rejects to pre-Dec. interviewees who were still in the running...I heard that the next round of acceptances are going to be during end of February...Hope that we are in the running until then, rather than being sent a reject letter in the meantime 🙁

I interviewed in mid-Nov and got in today, so it's still a possibility!! I hope you get in 🙂

i have to decide between asdoh and westernU but i think the choice is simple right?
 
Congratulations to those who have been accepted into the ASDOH class of 2017. I am a current D1 at ASDOH and I really love it here. It was definitely the right choice for me. I am also on the interview lunch committee so there is a good chance I've met some of you. Yea, it's on my AADSAS now, too. They accepted me last week and so it says Offer Made. Weird that is shows up now, after all these months, hah. Hopefully you'll hear some good news soon?!

yeah it appeared on my aadsas yesterday with 'invited for interview,' updated 11/30
 
still have not heard anything from ASDOH. No rejection or interview invite. "Application is complete" is what my AASDAS says. Ugh.. Anyone else?
 
It's different for everyone - my AADSAS only updated to "invited for interview" the day after I interviewed and had already received a call from Azra saying I was accepted. I paid my deposit last week, mailed the agreement and my AADSAS status is still "invited for interview." No matter tho, I'm in!
For all the questions that may ensue after this post: I interviewed Jan 17 - afternoon session. 19 AA, 20 TS, 23 Bio, 19 GChem, 21 OChem (how that makes a TS of 20 - no clue...I'm not good at math as can be seen by my QR of 17, ha!) 1000+ hours clinical/observation - nothing special, just was genuine in my interview.
 
When I was interviewed I was told that another round of acceptances would be sent out end of Feb or early March. Has anyone heard this as well (or anything different)?
 
I have an interview on the 25th, does anyone know if thats just for waitlist or is there still spots open??
