Both of my interviewers had more of a conversation with me than asking me questions, but they did ask the basic of why dentistry but the rest was just us talking about Louisville in general and things of that nature. It is a very relaxing interview process you have one professor and one student interviewer. The interviews are at the end of the day and you will have seen most of the interviewers already throughout the day or at lunch so it made me feel a little more comfortable. My best advice is to just relax and be confident. Louisville is has a strong community service program so if you are into volunteering and things of that nature (which I hope most people are lol) then try to emphasize that up as much as you can. I got an interview from U of L for November 16! And it's my first interview/my top choice so I am beyond excited 🙂

And I am pretty sure they are not done. I think there must be at least two more interview dates before December. Although, I'm not aware of the exact dates. I think you will get an interview, I have my fingers crossed for you :xf:

I am out-of-state, but I attend undergrad at U of L. I applied in mid-August, but my app was sent out in September and everything was verified by the 8th of October.

help!!!! I have a light grey suit i want to wear for my interview on nov. 12.. I plan to wear a solid grey shirt and a black tie with black shoes..Will it due? I really dont have the finances to purchase a new suit right now

As long as it matches I'm sure it is fine. I know some guys who just wear khakis and a blazer, and they have been fine at interviews. If anything, the grey suit will probably make you stand out from the other black-suited applicants.

The grey suite is fine. I have read online though that they prefer a white shirt under your suite.
 
Just saw that my AADSAS updated to Received/Under Review for 11/7/12.

flying into louisville tomorrow 11/15 for 11/16 interview...if anyone else also is, let me know if you'd like to meet up and check out the area or something..ill have a car rental

Aznboi, mine went to "Received/Application Complete" on 10/26... is that the same or different?

I agree, I would LOVE to visit Louisville as well! Fingers crossed 🙂

I also wondered the same thing. My AADSAS updated a few months ago to received/app complete. Then, on 10/20, it updated again to received/under review. What does that mean? I talked to a lady from admissions and she said that my application looks great, but that it could have just gotten lost in the pile of 2,800 applicants. She told me she would personally send an email and tell them to find my application and give it a seriously look. Shouldn't they have a more efficient system?

What happened to your application status? Did u get an invite from Louisville?
 
My AADSAS has just changed to "Please check back on December 3 for more information regarding your decision status with this school". How about you guys?
 
What does "Offer Made" suggest? Is it the same thing on AADSAS as "Checking back on 12/3??

Yes! Check the mobile app everyone. The mobile app and the website portal system have different updates for my application. Still...nothing final until Monday!

I checked my mobile this morning as well, and it said "offer made".. I am super stoked!! Louisville was one of my top choices! 👍
 
For those of you who interviewed at Louisville this cycle, do you remember what they said the D1 and D2 clinical experience was like? Would we get to be in the clinic as dental assistants or anything like that? If they said anything, I don't remember what it was. Hoping for an offer from here! Thanks

Hey, I'm a current Louisville student and assisting/helping out in the clinic (D1 & D2) is more than welcome and very much encouraged. Best wishes.
