I think many of you will agree that today is a great day to officially prepare for the May 22nd MCAT!!!

I was against the April 2015 MCAT because a typical 3 month schedule doesn't seem to work for
students and/or working test takers. With a little over 4 months of preparation we can go in with confidence!
It's all new and really scary--so let's kick MCAT butt together!!

I was also wondering, wouldn't many professional MCAT test takers and tutors want to take the MCAT 2015 as soon
as possible (April MCAT) so they can better they're material or teaching? Wouldn't that just destroy the curve?

I've got this incoming freshman messaging me asking for tips on how to study for the MCAT. 🙄🙄 Focus on passing gen chem first, kid.
yea those people always makes me happy that I am done with the worst parts of the application (also physics)

I have 11 schools, but I still don't know what "safeties" oos to apply to. Should I apply to Indiana state...

I have 22 schools in my main list and about 7 reach schools from which I'll choose a couple based on my MCAT. I want to get more secondaries prewritten but also want to cut down my large list a little.

Of the schools on my list, the ones that don't require an essay are Rochester, Cincinnati, Mayo, and Boston.

anyone know if cincy is high/low yield? I have so many low yields it's causing anxiety

wait does it have an integrated curriculum? I can't even tell from msar. If so, definitely not applying...I hate repetition

I don't think Cincy is terribly low yield. They have a pretty high MCAT median (34 last year).
According to the non-MSAR site, they got 3469 OOS applicants, interviewed 276 and accepted 167.

so medical college of wisconsin had no essays 2 years ago but added like 5 last year..think I'll wait till the actual secondaries for this one lol

The Milwaukee campus (the main campus) only requires one. They added two additional campuses that I believe are more based on rural medicine, and it's those that require more essays.
