I think many of you will agree that today is a great day to officially prepare for the May 22nd MCAT!!!

I was against the April 2015 MCAT because a typical 3 month schedule doesn't seem to work for
students and/or working test takers. With a little over 4 months of preparation we can go in with confidence!
It's all new and really scary--so let's kick MCAT butt together!!

I was also wondering, wouldn't many professional MCAT test takers and tutors want to take the MCAT 2015 as soon
as possible (April MCAT) so they can better they're material or teaching? Wouldn't that just destroy the curve?

I had no clue what mmi was so I practiced a couple questions so I was familiar with the format. Other than that, it might help to be familiar with basic ethics but I doubt they will ask you anything you can't reason through and come up with a good answer. good luck! let me know if you have more questions

when did you interview at nyu? I was there in september and heard back already

Alrighty I'm just going over a few practice ones from a MMI intro book my friend gave me. But all in all you didn't really prep much besides a couple practice questions??

Honestly I think I'm going to call them tomorrow and see if I can't get something from them. I'm leaving my house on Saturday for a few weeks for vacation, and it'll drive me crazy waiting for it and not being able to check the mail.

Oh yeah definitely call! Or maybe have a neighbor or friend check your mail.

I mean, I have roommates. One of which is a medical student, but I really want to get the decision first hand rather than having him tell me when it comes in the mail.

As far as vacation goes, I am going to TN and TX. Hoping to visit my dad out of the country in the spring if I have an acceptance though!

Saw it last night and will see it again with the family next week. I have been avoiding all social media because I don't want to know. I am lucky that I was not named Leia-it was on the list because my mom loved Star Wars that much.

Rush just rejected a bunch of people, but once again, I've just been left hanging. This keeps happening and it's starting to make me feel very mediocre Haha.

Thanks for that! I'll appreciate that. But at least it's not a final decision. I mean I could be pulled off of it next month. Who knows. Just hoping for a couple more late interviews.

Hello there old friends. Sorry i disappeared for ~1 month. The wait for interview decisions is freaking brutal i must say. Still nothing on my end *sigh*

Well i mean both. I have gotten exactly Zero action from my state schools (9 of them). Lucky/blessed enough to have had two interviews (haven't heard back yet from them) and another lined up for January, but the wait is a killer

Wow! No state school interviews? That seems odd. Which state, Ohio or NY (can't think of any other states that have that many...)? But congrats on the interviews, I hope you hear back soon!

Haha Florida has 9 (including DO's). And yeah it is totally baffling. But thank you lanny, keeping all fingers crossed to hear back from anywhere

Oh yeah I forgot about Florida! Make sure you declared your state of residence on amcas lol I forgot to do that and had to have it updated.

I have been on the chopping block a lot the last couple of weeks.
UCSF, UC Irvine, and Rush all told me I suck. Honestly, only UCSF hurts but its an insanely competitive school so oh well.
Speaking of which how do you guys feel when you get rejected by a school that is less prestigious or lower on your list than a school you have been accepted to?
Me. I try to shrug it off o,k, but I do feel it a little in the ego.

Rough couple days y'all. 2 rejections in the past 2 days from the 2 schools in Chicago I applied to and then another hold post interview. Hope I can catch a break soon!

Maybe just try not to think about it for now and enjoy Christmas!

I was hoping that their silence for so long was a good sign but I guess not.
Yea I'm definitely going to do that. I've got 2 weeks off of work, so I'll find ways to entertain myself.

I know plenty of people that has happened to as well! It's just hard. Didn't expect to be where I am. But yea I'm definitely thinking about a re app just in case. Not sure what I'll do for next year. Might find a new clinical or research job, but my responsibilities have increased so much in the past month, I can probably count it as leadership experience too. We will see.

Stick with it brother. I am kinda on the same spot right now but there is time. We'll catch a break soon!
I must say that the outpour of love and support on this thread is great. Thank you lanny, dr. Yang, and everybody else . Thank you for making this experience more bearable than it really is

So very sorry to hear this. This process is enough to make someone drink. Hoping for good luck to come soon. @mheard92 , I was sure you were going to have good news.
