I was registered for May 31, but was not ready so I changed my date. With having a family, work, and volunteering, I underestimated the amount of time I needed. I started studying in February and took 2 AAMC's in April and was rudely awakened. I am taking Orgo 2 Lab and a 1 credit research course during July-mid August so I figured this date would give me enough time to get the content down.

Where is everyone at in their journey?

Anyone else have MCAT score nightmares? I've had a few... Checked my score to find I got a 40, but soon realized that was the number of questions I got right... and the actual score was a 10.

I'm starting to think about it again. Sigh.. I'll be happy with 12/11/10 or 12/10/10. Just don't want to retake

OMG yes. Except mine are actually fantasies where I get a 36. I dream of telling all my friends and family and crying with happiness. Then I wake up and for about a minute, I think it is real before reality hits.

I have determined that I will be stopping by Tim Hortons (Canadian here) on my way home to check my scores. The only thing that can ease the pain is a double chocolate.

What if I get a 10. 7. 4. 21 omg.

I am just taking solace on my practice tests...

AAMC 7: 12/9/10 (June)
AAMC 8: 13/10/9 (August)
AAMC 9: 12/10/11 (August)
AAMC 11: 12/8/11 (took it in June)

Average: 12.25/9.25/10.25 = 31.75

Please GOD.

Calm down people lol. If you were doing good on the aamc practice exams then you will be fine. I wrote on August 16 and the exam felt SIGNIFIGANTLY more difficult. The biology in particular was completely ridiculous! You know the crazy 1st passage on this bio exam? There were honestly about 3-4 more which were on par with that one. It was awful.
I ended up scoring a 32Q.... Trust that your hard work will pay off!
I'm excited for Tuesday

Once you log into THQ or whatever it's called, does anyone know if the scores pop right up or you have to select your MCAT and you load another page with the scores? I want to squeeze out the numbers with a sheet of paper, so want the heads up if I need to cover the screen right when I log in. Thanks.

Yes! once you open it up you gonna see your scores right a way. It is gonna be Verbal,Physical science and then Bio sections scores respectively. On the far right you gonna see your total composed score ex: 38Q. good luck!!

Mcat tests content and critical thinking for 5 hours, then the rest are a test of patience.

For a total over 720 hours.

I had a dream that I had to retake the MCAT and the verbal section was a words with friends game... I totally bombed it.

In other news, my mom has been telling everyone that she is sure I got at least a 36... let's hope I can live up to that expectation? Haha

so what time tomorrow are the scores supposed to be posted? anyone know?? i will be clicking refresh from 8am until they come up.....sooo scared!!! hoping for at least a 30

If my memory serves me correctly, I believe the earliest recently was around noon, but the average was about 3pm.

I can't even sleep properly these past days 🙁
honestly the more closer I am to getting my grade, the worse I feel ugghhh

the only thing to keep myself sane is that I just keep telling myself that this exam is not the end of my path, if I do bad then I'm just not ready for med school and will try better next time.

It'd be nice to know this, but unfortunately the AAMC does not post any answer key or let you know what you got wrong. Your section scores, total score, and relevant percentiles are about all they tell you, which makes sense -- some of the topics and questions you had on your MCAT will be recycled for future tests.

i wish they would just give an official time for score releases. i read one anecdotal post about scores being released a day early several years ago, and for whatever reason i keep checking.

this reminds me of the episode of the office where michael gets two boxes one with a 🙂 and one with a 🙁

Wow, I'm glad I'm not alone. I've had the most crazy of awakenings this weekend! I woke up in a state of panic, but I was paralyzed. Then I had a crazy thought that some ghost was holding me and was going to show itself momentarily. Luckily, the logical side of my brain woke up and was like, "oh, this is totally sleep paralysis." As expected, the paralysis wore off, and I then checked my phone. For a while, though, I couldn't go back to sleep.

This happened twice over the weekend, on two different days. The sleep paralysis only once, but waking up in a sudden state of panic, never happened to me before. What a crazy sense of dread and fear. Not a good way to start the day.

worst comes to worst, i have to retake the mcat. ONLY 6.5 MORE HOURS LEFT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love reading everyone's posts about depression if they do bad. I'm so much less worried now that I've decided not to apply his year...if it's bad, I'll just retake it...eventually...

Can someone who has taken it before post exactly what the scores will look like on the Thx screen once I press login? I want to cover it up and peek at each subsection rather than look and try to interpret a lot of numbers at the same time.

If you look at google images for MCAT thx it shows up
