Sorry to bother everyone but I have a question about financial aid stuff. I realize we had a presentation about this at the interview but I wanted to clear some things up. First of all, let me just lay out my personal financial aid as it stands now. I have been offered (and ConnectCarolina says accepted) $40,500 Fed Unsub Direct-Med/Dent. In addition, it also has the Federal Direct Grad PLUS of $16,800, which it says I have NOT accepted. I've also completed the NC FELS loan and been awarded $14,000 for the year.
Thus, my question is do I need to go ahead and apply for the HPSL or what? I'm from Charlotte and my mom is a dentist there so I was curious if I would even be qualified if this is really a need based loan...? My thinking was that I'm pretty much set with the NC FELS and Fed Unsub Direct loans (and will probably even reduce the latter a little). Let me know if my thinking is correct. Thank you!!!
