Got my supplemental the 6th. Submitted the 10th. Invited on the 11th. Confirmation on the 25th. Interviewed yesterday (Oct. 1)
Did you just use SDN interview feedback to prepare?
i submitted my secondary 2 weeks ago and still have not heard anything. Does a secondary guarantee an interview invite? also, should i call to find out what's going on?
Same here....When did you submit your secondary? I submitted mine on October 1 and haven't heard anything yet. Anyone know if this has any sort of implications?
I went to interview...and i felt like people who got interview were people who had a lot of volunteering hours and service hours. and UMB definately emphasized a lot on services amd giving back to community...may be that is the one thing different between ppl who got interview and ppl who did not get interview???
Absolutely not true. I only have like 75 hours shadowing and a little more volunteering. I interviewed on oct 1
My friend got an interview with a 18AA and he's OOS. Under 20dat ppl get interviews
Yeah but are they instate? That may be the reason.
OOS= Out of State
I received the secondary on 9/24, submitted it on 9/25, and received interview invite on 9/26 via email. When did you submit your secondary? I submitted mine on October 1 and haven't heard anything yet. Anyone know if this has any sort of implications?
To those who already interviewed or are Baltimore residents:
Could I depend on the Light Rail to get from BWI to Downtown and back? and does it get affected by snow (interviewing in mid November)?
Really chill. Financial office lady was a blast. Everyone loved her. Also guides were cool and most of them were nice in their business suits. One of interviewer (not mine) cracked up his interviewees and had really good time and all. Loved it. Smaller group. Niceee
did they ask any weird questions and was the interview one on one?
I definitely agree with jHoon in that I got hit with all the serious/tough questions. I was expecting the interview to be a lot more relaxed/chill according to people who already interviewed there, but mine was super serious. I was actually relaxed/happy walking into the room for my personal interview, but the interviewers didn't even smile at all and grilled me question after question and it definitely caught me off guard.
They had like 5 different interviewers, so I think the interview style- whether it will be relaxed or serious- will depend on who you get as an interviewer.
I'm just gonna hope for the best.
Yeah!! that blank stare and silence made me feel so uncomfortable so it was sooo hard to be myself and be conversational.I felt the same way at my interview. My interviewers were nice enough but seemed incredibly unenthusiastic and blah the whole time. They would ask a question, I would answer it, and then they would give me a blank stare for a minute... then move onto the next question. It didn't leave me with a good feeling.

Who was your faculty and student interviewer? Just curious because mine were really nice, and I did have some silence but they seemed to have really enjoyed the entire time I was being interviewed.
I received a supp app and submitted on the 20th! Is that a good sign?
Received interview today OOS, pre-dec on Nov. 19th.
Received and submitted supplement on Oct. 11th.
Secondary = interview. What was your DAT score, btw?So I just received a secondary application from MD! After reading through some threads it looks like the general consensus is that a secondary=interview. BUT, it seems that some people disagree. Does anyone know for sure?
Hey Iwen, how do you know for sure?
I actually took the DAT's twice. 1st: 21AA/21TS/22PA, 2nd: 23/23/22
In the past, a secondary meant you would get an interview. However, this year seems to have a considerable amount of people who received the secondary but have yet to receive an interview.I've seen it written multiple times on SDN that for Maryland: secondary = interview. Sometimes ppl get the interview invite right away, others might have to wait, but either way secondary = interview.
