***The Official Univ, of Maryland Class of 2018 Interview/Acceptance Thread***

I received an email last week asking me about my English composition prerequisites and sent them in another copy of my transcript. I'm hoping this means that I'm still in the running to receive a supplemental application from them, but at this point in time, it's not looking too promising. Fingers crossed. c:
 
Don't worry! I got a similar email about my Physics requirements last week also. I sent them an updated list of planned coursework for the next terms and shortly received an supplemental app afterwards.
 
So, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I called up MD and asked if a secondary = invite. She said that it does not. 🙁

Overall, very laid back interview day. The lunch with students is extremely informal. You basically just sit with the other interviewees and one or two students and eat boxed lunches. You have the opportunity to ask questions about student life during this time. There is only one interview but it is 2 on 1; one dental student and one faculty member. The questions were all things I was expecting: why dentistry, tell me about yourself, what makes you unique. Hope that helps!
 
I got an interview invite for January today, so I guess that's the earliest dates right now.

did any of you do the video for the secondary? do you think it's a good idea to do so?
 
I got my interview on Wednesday, and I was wondering how you're leaving back to the airport. my plan is to use the light rail, what about yours?
 
I just want to get in! December 2nd needs to be here like tomorrow.

I submitted my secondary on October 1st and still haven't heard anything. Should I call? I'm in-state

If it's your top choice, I would email and let them know they were your top choice and if they need anything else from you.

I interviewed there last week. Beautiful school.....just wish it was located in philly!
 
Is there a certain location we meet on campus to start off our interview day

My stats are: TS 22 AA 20 GPA 3.1 BS Poli Sci. Many many hours in healthcare field (LPN). Lots of EC. I applied 8/21/13. OOS: yes (AZ to be specific). URM: yes in many many areas lol (single mom, Nigerian, change in career, etc).

I am instate and I submitted the second app Sept. 28. I haven't gotten an interview either. I called yesterday but they just said,"your app is under reviewing." But if you feel like to do something for you, call them. Who knows? This is one of my top schools but I decided not to be bothered anymore.
 
At this point they have definitely completed their pre-december interviews. You should just wait and see how many seats they fill from these offers and hope to get an interview after January.

I just realized Monday is 4 days away. Too many emotions going on inside of me. This is the only place I want to go to.
 
Has anyone gotten an admission offer from Maryland yet?????!?!?!?!?
 
ive heard back from every school but maryland. I am refreshing my phone constantly!! argh!!!

mine is J. I am OOS so I have lower chance 🙁. I am gonna put deposit in LECOM and wait for Maryland I guess haha
 
Maryland via email! OOS. By the way, i didnt have a letter of rec from a chemistry prof as stated on their website, i got all letters from bio professors so their letter requirements are not set in stone
