Accepted OOS via email and updated portal.
Can't tell if you're being seriousYou guys people are not being truthful- I called and they said they haven't given any out yet. SOOO Pictures for proof from now on
It is possible to become a state resident after at least one year. You have to go through all the normal domicile requirements. Maryland is a particularly difficult state to do it. The University of Maryland has a lot of rules and regulations and you have to prove that you aren't just doing it for school. Things like joining a church, buying a house, or something else particularly permanent show you really want to remain in the state.I got accepted today also! I am a New Jersey resident.....Does anyone remember if it is readily easy to get in state tuition after one year? I recall someone saying that during our interview but I couldn't find it in my notes!
Choosing between Rutgers, Nova, and Maryland....leaning towards Maryland. I loved the area, school, and technology they are using.
In any event. I am sad that I wasent offered an acceptance today. I was offered at other schools, maryland really was my choice, good look to everyone and CONGRATS to those who got in. Just curious my status still says invited for interview...anyone else still in the same boat, no change at all...I would unfortunately have a hard rejection than a soft so I could confidently put my deposit down elsewhere

I went there for an interview on Nov 4. Two student guides told me about switching to in state residency, they both did and they both got it. She said a lot of her classmates did as well and also got the in-state residency. Basically you would have to write a personal statement, join clubs/organizations, being active about those things during your first year to show that you have an interest in helping the Maryland residents. Switching your car, your banks etc...then apply and will get it. If you got denied, then you can appeal to be reconsidered. I still have her email if you need to ask for info.
I dont know yet, i am torn between maryland and vcuI interviewed on Nov 4th too. We probably met! Are you planning to attend UMSOD?

someone should make a fb group! too lazy to do that lol
Hey guys congrats on getting in to all of you who have been accepted already! I have my interview in less than 12 hours (Dec 3rd). Any last minute advice? I hope to get in and get to know all of you!
Instate?just got an interview invite as well
It was nice, very laid back- Loved the D4s that showed us around. and The Dean is a very nice smart woman. I look back and wish they asked me a bit harder questions. I don't think I was able to convey who I really was. At the time, I thought my interview went great with Maryland, (It was my first interview I was a bit nervous) but now thinking back I'm not sure. Maryland is a dream school hands down, but I'm just fortunate to have gotten into Dental School at all, and still have some interviews. But don't get me wrong- If Maryland decided to Accept.. I'm not sure what I'd do.
Im OOS applicantAre guy

Thanks! Good luck!!I got the secondary app request on oct 8 and submitted two weeks later. Hope this helps.
I don't think so. I am pretty sure that Maryland has not filled up their entire class yet. There are still spots open!!If we are interviewing after Dec 2nd, are we only interviewing for the wait list?

In my official acceptance letter it says, "For tuition purposes, the Office of records and registration has classified you as a resident of Maryland"To some of in-staters who got accepted/got the letter via mail
Does it say in your letter that you should submit supplemental application for in-state classification........?
