I just wonder anyone know about more about OOS alternate. Would you please tell me and what is the chance to get in ? Also anyone had interviedand got reject or they put all in waiting list ?

Hey guys! I am a 2nd year dental student at UT. Just wanted to let you know, if you have any questions about the admissions process or the school...feel free to ask!
 
Sorry guys, they will not give out any info on where you are on the waitlist! However, it does seem as though they do end up offering acceptances to quite a few people on the waitlist!
 
Do they keep interviewing after Dec. 1, or is the process pretty much done?

Usually they keep interviewing throughout at least the end of january, but I am not 100% positive about that this year. From what I have been told (which may or may not be true), they would like to be done interviewing right now, but whether they are actually done for sure will depend on how many people accept admissions offers and how many do not.

Just curious, what color scrubs will D1 students wear next year? I don't remember from my interview...
 
I've officially declined my offer. Best of luck to those still waiting!

I wonder when your open slot will be called on. I can't remember if they said they would make the waiting list now or in january.

Class of 2019 will wear Navy Blue Scrubs D1/D2 year and Green D3/D4 year. Your scrub changes when you transition to the clinic.
 
Does anyone know how many applicants get placed on waitlist? and what are the chances to get off the in-state alternate list?
 
Did anyone from oos got accepted from the waiting list yet?

Actually the D-1s for the incoming class of 2019 will be wearing Navy Blue. Only D-3's and D-4's switch between green and gray. he D-1's and D-2's switch between Navy and maroon. ! Once you get to your D-3 year, you will switch to green.
 
does anyone OOS waitlisted get acepted ? or hearing anything?
 
Does anyone know how long UTHSC keeps drawing off the OOS alternate wait list? I'm just wondering if they continue to accept off the wait list through april/may or if it stops sooner than that. I guess it depends on whether or not they have slot continuously opening up.
 
Any people left that are thinking about withdrawing their acceptance from UTHSC? lol
 
I just gave up my spot in the class. I'm OOS so hopefully one of you get that spot! Good luck everyone!!!!
 
Any word/news/movement lately? As there are only 10 true OOS spots, I expect not much movement will be seen especially this late. I've been accepted elsewhere, but I did like UTHSC and it would be significantly less expensive.
 
I turned down my OOS spot yesterday. Hope it goes to one of you! Good luck
 
I wish we were able to find out where we are on the OOS waitlist. Sigh +pity+
 
I don't think there is any ranking. They tell you in the email that the wait list is ranked just to give you hope. they know how many students they want to pick from each school. They wait and see who responds to their offer and who declines it. UT-Memphis was my top choice but not anymore. They are not professional; picking mostly students who have dental parent and accepting students with 17 on their DAT. There are many students out there who don't have dental parent(s) and need an opportunity. Good luck to everyone!
