I was just wondering if anybody's using the Palm lifedrive on their clinicals and if so, how's it going for you? I am trying to decide between the LD and the TX, and don't really know which to go with...any help?

Don't get the lifedrive - it's annoyingly slow. And 4 gigs really isn't that much space to put up with the huge speed and slight price disadvantages. A 2 gig DF card is like $50 these days! TX is much faster, and cheaper too. Lifedrive is a dead-end.

I agree with the above posters. A T/X with a memory card is a better option. You may also consider the Treo 650 (don't bother with the 700p, not worth the price for basically a better camera and a bit more internal memory) if you need a cell phone/want the convenience of always having your palm with you/don't want to carry 2 gadgets. The price has gone down significantly on these (less than a T/X I believe).

Another caveat about the LD, it's got a hard drive instead of flash memory which means bumps could potentially prove fatal.

I will hopefully be getting a 650 soon.

I am also comparing TX and Treo. Since Treo dosen't have a builf-in Wi-Fi, I will probably buy TX.

BTW, have you ever used the Palm GPS Navigator with your Palm device? I'm going to buy it, and what do you think about it?
