Been battling with my head... ROM games vs algebra all weekend... hasn't been super productive to be honest, unless you count racking up XP 🙂
 
Ughhh, I hit this point in Candy Crush several hundred levels in where I'd close my eyes and see candies switching, over and over and over, breaking jellies, bringing chestnuts down, goddang chocolate squares slowly consuming the board...

So I took a break when I started fall term, to spare what was left of my sanity.




And then my roommate introduced me to Jelly Splash.

Put the notes on your head. They can be held on with a hat if need be. The information will diffuse into your brain, helped by gravity.

You're not riveted by histology? But there's so much variety! I mean, there's pink and purple and white. And magenta, and lavendar, and lilac, and fuschia and light pink, and dark purple, and plum...

I can't afford to do poorly either. Which is why it's scary that I have no interest in studying. I should care more! Ahh

Unless your doing histology as it pertains to neurology or endocrine then you have yellow, gold, black, dark, light, less blue, more blue, dark blue, hell something was described as taupe. Seriously screw you.

Speaking of which, neuro is supposed to be ridiculously hard. Final is tomorrow and I could care less. 🙁

The sweeping generalizations were what made me start rolling my eyes. So since I'm going to be a vet I'm automatically a terrible, unsupportive SO who is too cheap to pay for dinner. Okay then.

My favorite was #13, where she basically just said "Euthanizes Pets + Not a Pediatrician = Hates Kids." Wtf?

Still, I did pass it along to my boyfriend. He might as well be prepared. :laugh:
 
Just finished my first semester as a doctoral student and rewarded myself with some striping tape. First time using this stuff, but I'm pretty pleased with the results. Tis the season!

Thank you! It doesn't look as nice up close, haha. Trying to do my right hand was a nightmare...definitely not ambidextrous. I'm sure yours will turn out lovely!

Hello Everyone,
I've mostly been a lurker...but I enjoy reading all your posts....it somehow makes me feel less alone as I go through this whole process.
One more week and I am officially done with undergrad......I should be studying for the Recombinant DNA and Immunology finals I have back to back on Friday, but I am fresh out of give a crap at the moment.....here's to hoping I can find some soon. It's almost over...I just need to jump through a few last hurdles this week...and then I can breath again.
 
Physiology final tomorrow. I really need to do well on it but I can't focus at all right now. I read one line of my notes and immediately get distracted. This is baaaaaad.
 
Bumping this back since it is the end of the semester and I have 4 papers to write (2 on my own and 2 for a group project)... I probably would have had one paper done an hour ago if I wanted to stay focused.
 
Have a 7 page paper due next week for medicinal chemistry that I haven't even started on.
Also have to get TABC certified for my new job and I just don't wannaaaaaaaa

My "Give A Crap" level is really starting to plummet... I am now at the point to where I just want to get this damn thing done.
 
I would also like to join the, "I have x papers to write, but I couldn't give two craps" club. Mine is due Friday. 15-pages on a topic that I find very interesting (using endoparasites to ameliorate autoimmune diseases), but I just...don't...care. This paper, a presentation on said paper, and 2 finals are all that stand between me and summer. 3 weeks! 3 WEEKS! All I can think about is going home to be with my family and friends...

It's really sad when I find writing out my epi outline more thrilling than studying for my repro quiz tomorrow. I love repro but really just not our professor. I'm SO glad I took it in undergrad, otherwise, I'd be 100% lost in this class. He's just all over the place for me. I feel so awful for those attempting to learn it all for the first time. Time to get back to tumblr...
 
I think my level of apathy for vet school has reached an all time high. It's totally legit to wing exams right? I mean my midterm is only worth 45% of my total quarter grade...😕

I MAYBE studied for two solid hours for my nutrition final... after not going to the classes... 33% of my grade... feel pretty OK about it, honestly. :shrug: My give a crap is pretty low. Just a couple more days of finals and I'm freaking done with this horrendous semester.
 
All I can think about is the cute little kitten I might be adopting in 3-4 weeks, assuming the people who are ahead of me on the list end up deciding they're not quite ready to adopt yet like I'm told they're thinking about right now. She's just so dang cute. And I just keep looking over my budget over and over again to make sure I've accounted for all the expenses (like vaccine boosters, which I just realized I forgot to account for 😱), instead of doing all the school work I need to do or finishing job applications.

Thankfully vet school is full of all the free things! And you should post cute pictures of said kitten.
 
I have three exams left. Well five if you count my electives, but they are a bit different. So really... three exams. Friday, Monday, and Thursday.

I'm trying to prep for Monday so I can study for Friday starting soon but errrrrrr blah.

Oh, there will definitely be pictures once it's official. Don't want to get my hopes up when there's still a whole 3-4 weeks worth of things that could go wrong ahead of me...
