I feel as though I'm playing the devil's advocate, but doooooo it. Riding the roller coasters offering building them is so therapeutic. Except, learn from my mistakes...always test custom-built coasters before you open them to guests. Did not do that my first time...those poor souls. 🙁

Hahaha, I've done that before on the original game.

:laugh::laugh:

In the original game I used to specifically build huge drops ending in what was essentially a giant ski jump so the cars would get launched off into the sky. I would also build unending mazes of brick walls, name guests after people I didn't like, and then drop them in there and watch them get super angry when they couldn't find a way out . . .

Huh. I might be a psychopath.

That's nothing. In HS I used to play zoo tycoon with a friend. We would build enclosures, put lions and tigers and elephants in them, and then open the zoo. Then we took the fences down. The animals eat the people sometimes, but mostly it's just chaotic.

I did that too! I miss zoo tycoon.

Remind me to not piss you guys off for fear of being stuck in a zoo with wild animals 😀 😛

I might have drowned the people who were pissed off about not being able to find the exit in some of the larger parks...

I definitely remember dropping disgruntled guests into the lake. Sometimes I would rescue them, sometimes I wouldn't. I'd like to think the ones I did save were so grateful that they'd have no complaints. Usually they just ran straight for the exit. At least I think I'm remembering that correctly, haha.

Psh, just lions and tigers? I would release an army of T-Rexes on my unsuspecting victims...err guests.

May or may not have placed as many people as I could in a square or two of raised lands in the middle of water then lowered it and caused a mass murder by drowning. No one is unhappy in my theme park. No one...

Could be mistaken but I think RCT 3 is available for Mac through steam?

The selection is definitely a lot smaller but steam has plenty of games for Mac still

RCT 3 does have a Mac version, but there's several other games I'm interested in trying that are PC only. =( If only I hadn't spilled water/gatorade on mine. Love my Mac but there are definitely more options for a PC. Too bad I'm poor, otherwise I'd consider looking into one for games.

dual boot the mac. Then you can play steam games on the PC side.

Yes! The ultimate edition of Zoo Tycoon was where it was at. I loved the dino pack. Got to pretend I had created my own little Jurassic Park.

What are this... Steam...?

Steam is the awesome. Here's the website if you haven't already been to it: store.steampowered.com/

Be warned though. Lots of good deals and fun games lay ahead. "Abandon hope (for getting anything accomplished) all ye who enter here."

RT3 purchased...guess I know what I'll be doing during the 2nd half of this lecture.

Yes, yes...excellent.

Oh balls.. Its open behind this tab... So far I've been able to resist... The pull of RCT3...

This is so me tonight. I just have zero focus for Microanatomy, especially after the practical today.

Edited my post since I saw you posted a solution. Didn't want to take up the whole thread with an unnecessary picture. 😳

Exam tomorrow AM that I have barely studied for and I just can't bring myself to care much. I've been doing a lot of this lately, but then it ends up being in my brain someplace. Probably should stop banking on that. But now is not the time for crazy thoughts for that!

Went to bar trivia instead of studying tonight.

I want to do that sometime... Small confession: there is a coffee house at the U here that's putting on a Harry Potter trivia night next week. I kinda want to go!

Have to do a presentation on Wed, but found out today the paper and outline aren't due til Sunday. Boom. Not getting done until Sunday.

Supposed to be studying for my genetics "quiz" tomorrow....but just spent a stupid amount of time considering horror-themed avatar options....and ended up going with a simple one anyways....

Carrie is classic. :meanie:

My apartment is clean and my laundry is done, so that is at least one benefit of me avoiding studying....

To be honest the whole forum should just be renamed the title of this thread. That's how I've used the forum anyway!!!

Should be studying for biochem so I can actually matriculated IF I get an offer... My husband says the AF told them the best studying is 15min of new material 10min of old material and a 15 min break....anyone ever heard of this?

Pretty sure I can't focus for more than 15mins at a time anyway...And then when I get started I'm afraid to stop in case I don't start again

Took a modified Myers-Briggs test earlier today for procrastination: ITSJ. Discuss.

I enrolled in LSU's interpersonal communication course and Berkeley's cell bio course back in July. Lessons complete - 0.

Now I want to play RCT!

In my undergrad zoo animal management class we actually had to use zoo tycoon...although it's not as fun when you get a grade.

Um, this sounds like the most amazing thing ever.

Between the study habit and the ISTJ... I know the running joke in class is that you and I are the same person, but now I think there might be something to the joke.

Who needs to do BioEngineering homework when you can procrastinate on SDN?! 😛 This thread is my life hahaha.

currently watching long island medium instead of study for my orgo lab midterm or studying for my physics test on friday

I'm taking one today, out of curiosity. I did have to take a personality type test for one of my psych classes a while back, and I'll first say: I am a really quiet, shy person irl, and I've always thought of myself as pretty passive. Well, the test was 1-400 (B-A) and I scored 388. Holy type A, man! I'll return with Myers Briggs results later. I LOVE that stuff!

ETA: INTJ

If I remember correctly, we had a thread on Myers Briggs a while back and it turned out a strangely high number of us are INTJ. Which I thought was super interesting since it's one of the less common types.

Someone should do a survey of vet students/vets. It would be pretty cool to see the traits that really come out.

I've been an INFP on every test I took before college, but the one I did at orientation gave me INTJ.

We spent half a day of our orientation going over specific traits vets tend to be. Most are introverted, but I can't remember the rest. Our class was pretty opposite of the norm though. Definitely makes the introverts scared.

Oo what school do you go to?

It said the careers I would be best at would be (paraphrasing) the ones with lots of rules to follow  So lawyer/law, law enforcement, military (although that's a bit too much rule following for me...) I guess I lack the empathy and compassion that doctors probably need. Probably too busy analyzing the facts than feeling sorry for the poor critters. Oops.

And Coquette, that's hilarious! We can't tell anyone or we'll never be told apart ever again 😀

I did math for nearly 4 hours this morning and now I cannot make myself do anything productive. I am absolutely out of commission.
