For girls with shoulder-length hair or longer.
Up or down?

For my first interview I straightened my hair and wore it down. If in the future I don't have time for that, it doesn't look as professional au-natural, so I'll probably french braid it.

I was planning on putting mine up for all my interviews, but last night I went to get my hair cut. They asked me what I wanted, and I asked her just to trim the dead ends off. Apparently my hair must have been really unhealthy because she took off like five inches. So now it's too short to put up. I'm never getting my hair cut at Walmart again!

sorry about the bad hair cutting experience mashce. it sucks! 🙁 it's hard to find a good hair salon these days!

Those in the "Up" category, what exactly are you doing?

I can't do my hair, I'm not good at girl stuff. 🙁
I'm growing it long for the first time and it looks good just down, but not professional. I will probably clip it up in a big barrette and hope I don't look too boring...

i would suggest not braiding or putting your hair half up...it can look childish (i've seen at some of my interviews, and it doesn't look very mature). try a low ponytail or just wearing it all down. something that's simple and neat! i have a layered short haircut, and i think it works well!

My hair is long but layered, and the shortest layer is just past my chin... which means that most "up" styles - buns, etc, won't work because the short layers don't cooperate. So I'll probably just go with a low ponytail. I can't leave it down because I play with it too much.

I think a low ponytail is a good way to go, or just down with straightened hair.

What about blue? Maybe green???

i like to straighten my hair but then use a small clip to pull back the hair in front of my face... like how one would use a clip with half their hair in it... i think it looks professional and is not as austere as the low ponytail... it's feminine but put together... anyway that's just my 2 cents! 👍
