The wait

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
It sucks no way around it. Hopefully when 3rd yr starts we'll be busy enough to not worry about it too much. Until then I am just enjoying time off, but I still have my moments where I think of a stupid question I got wrong and I feel like putting a hole in the wall with my head. I guess we all have are coping methods..

Whenever this happens to me, I just grab more food and eat it to quickly release some more endorphins. That usually helps. Then again, this has been happening a little too much lately, probably to attempt to gain back the 25 lbs. this med school crap has robbed from me. Maybe I'm pregnant.

How does everyone handle the wait for scores? I took the COMLEX on monday and USMLE today and I just can't handle the wait!!!!

Took the COMLEX I Tuesday and the USMLE yesterday as well. The wait begins. It helps that I'm leaving for Air Force training for a month...sorta.

Good luck... What were your comparative impressions? I thought that the USMLE was MUCH more into the thought process than the COMLEX which was mostly regurgitation. PLUS, the USMLE had a ton of figures and charts that were annoying to decipher when my mind was already fatigued. Nonetheless, I could appreciate that it seemed to value thinking rather than memorization.

Good luck on your results.

So what's worse about the next few weeks: waiting for our scores, or the fact that every time we get in the car every goddamn radio station will be playing Michael Jackson music nonstop?

Next few weeks are going to SUCK.

Totally agree. The COMLEX had some seriously easy questions, and some I had no idea what they were getting at, but the USMLE was a consistant thought process...I've never been so tired after an exam before! However, I was so nervous for the COMLEX that I think might have actually done better on the USMLE...what does that mean?

Waiting sucks

How long does it take to get scores back for those of us who took on Fred v 2?

Anybody else feel as though the projected July 15th release date is a little overly optimistic?

Since I was a late June test (22nd), I've got a feeling the soonest I'll see my score will be July 22. It just seems reminiscient of spring 2006, where MCAT score releases from the April exam were seriously delayed a good 2 weeks.

Last year there was the same issue with score releases; I think due to the addition of audio ?'s. The date that seemed to determine if you got your score on the 15th was June 28th. If your test was before that day last year you got your score @ 12:00 a.m. July 15th. So really, late July 14th. Look up the last year Step 1 forums and you'll see. I took it June 27th, so I'm hoping it holds true this year and I have the shortest wait possible.
