Hey guys!

Can anyone give me a little insight into the reputations of the prelim/TY programs specifically in Baltimore? Which are cush/tough/strong/good/bad reps?

Here are the ones listed in ERAS:

Prelim Year:
-Franklin Square
-Good Samaritan
-Greater Baltimore Medical Center
-Harbor
-Johns Hopkins Bayview
-Johns Hopkins
-Johns Hopkins/Sinai
-St Agnes
-Union Memorial
-University of Maryland – Mercy
-University of Maryland

Transitional Year:
-Harbor
-Maryland General

THANKS SOOOO MUCH!

Definitely stay away from Harbor. They make it seem like it is such a cush place when you interview, but it's not. I did my intership there and absolutely hated every second.

If I could go back, I would do Bayview. Great attendings, wonderful teaching, not as tough physically and mentally as doing an Osler internship. 😀 I have so many great memories of that place. 😀

Mercy is not bad either from what I hear. They really take care of their interns, which is key, especially if you are a prelim.
