Anybody knows of a good link of which schools are more theoretical or clinical focused?

As far as I know, all schools are both, although they all prob vary to certain degree. The first two years are more theory based, ie classroom education. The latter two years are more practical and entails actual work with patients.

all schools but one will teach you more or less the same basic science (didactic) courses. all schools will also get you to do certain dental procedures; the main difference among schools seems to be how much training will the student get in each of those required procedures. so what you can do is ask about the clinical requirments of each school and then decide which ones are strong clinically.

columbia stands out in the sense that the basic science curriculum is that of the medical school with very very minor adjustments. their clinical requirements tend to be less than other schools. this does not make columbia a bad school. it just has a different approach on dental education that's all.

there are many threads on SDN that address this issue and if you use the advanced search engine, you'll find some valuable information regarding which schools are clinically stronger than others.
