These are the schools I should now give up on the hope of receiving an II from..

Which MD schools have now (mid-end of November) given out most of their IIs?
Which ones should we now give up hope on?
And which ones, not so much?

They all have. Give up and go ahead and withdraw all your apps.

Trust me if they haven't invited you yet they really don't want you and you wouldn't like going there. :slap:

Um... Mayo's all done, I think. And Texas schools have, what, another month? But really, it depends when you were complete. It depends (for public schools) if you're IS or OOS. It depends whether the school has changed their procedures recently. It depends on what this year's applicant pool is like. Unless there's a secret, super-active, hyper-organized listserv for every MD admissions officer in the country, I think you're looking for info that just doesn't exist. Sorry. And good luck.

A lot depends on when you were complete. I was marked complete at most schools between mid-August and mid-September (with a few taking several months and actually not marking me complete until the end of October). I have averaged one interview invite every other week for the past 3 months and my invites show so signs of slowing down yet, which means I wouldn't be surprised if I were still interviewing into January.

On the other hand, if you were complete in June or July and still haven't gotten so much as a single II, I might start to prepare for next year just in case. You might also want to take a serious look at your app and find someone who has been successful this cycle to compare yours to. People who get serious looks fit the mission of the schools to which they applied. Does your app fit the schools where you applied? What are the dominant themes in your app? What are the themes/missions of the schools to which you applied?

Who are you?

Instead of asking why you didn't get interviewed, ask, "Why would I be interviewed?" or "Who would want to interview me?" (Likewise, if interviewed and not accepted, ask why you should be accepted. Why would someone, after interviewing you, want you in their program?)

Texas schools are basically done at this point (although that doesn't mean people still can't get IIs). Most have their last interview days in mid-December/early January.

Considering that there are ~130 MD schools in the US, it would be a lot easier to answer your question if you named specific schools that you're worried about.

Well I can't speak for the OP, but I have my own schools that I'm interested in finding out if slots have filled up for interviews-

Cornell
Mount Sinai
UCLA
UC San Diego

I completed in Jun/July time frame (CA resident). I feel like these schools skipped over me....
I have been looking at the school specific threads, but no clear answers.

Have you filled out the secondaries for those UCs? I'm wondering about them as well.

Check the individual school threads on SDN. A lot of people post excited replies when they get an II, anda lot of schools have pretty recent posts (in the last two weeks or so). It's not a perfect indicator, since most SDNers apply early and have crazy stats so they get interviewed early. But, it's worth something, I guess.

What's considered "interviewing early?"

Yeah I filled out secondaries for all those schools- heard back very quickly for the secondaries not for interviews though

If you read the Cornell thread, you'll find that there are quite a few people who were complete in July/August and JUST got an II now. They are interviewing until March and they are non-rolling, so there is still PLENTY of time (I haven't heard a peep from Cornell either)

You can call to find out if UCSD has put you on hold. If you were complete that early and haven't heard anything back yet, they probably put you on hold until Jan.

I guess my sarcasm was not detected either...

😎
Ah, but you obviously didn't detect the sarcasm he used in discussing your failure to detect sarcasm, even though you detected the sarcasm initially and responded with sarcasm of you own which he didn't detect...or did he?😀
