These types of questions make me feel uncomfortable

So I have come to realize that these types of questions make me feel agitated and uncomfortable.

"Which of the following would most weaken the author's argument?"

I try to use the golden rule (choose the less wrong answer), but that makes it even harder to approach problems like this.

Any tips/advice?

I like to think about the AAMC rubbing their hands together, putting in some nasty trap answers, but, when I read their explanations, they usually follow some train of thought/logical pathway.

Why not work backwards, eliminate the MORE wrong answer. I.e. the answer you can poke more holes in or is less related to the passage. That has helped me immensely on tough CARS questions.
