Hi all,

so I am a little confused about what to take with you to an interview. afcourse, all the things the schools specifically requests you to bring but I am wondering about anything additional and specific to your application.

So i know someone who interview and that person told me that during the interview the professor requested lightly to see any of the sewing work samples because sewing was mentioned on the application as an activity. The professor may have asked lightly and not too seriously but should we be prepared for such things

If I mentioned the awards and certificates I have received over the years, should I take them with me. I think I will have a file to carry. Plus i mentioned painting etc, I know I cannot take with me, my paintings but I was thinking if I take a picture of them and take pictures with me.

So I am basically talking about proofs for the things that were mentioned in the app. And hopefully in a convenient way so they may fit in the purse. 🙂

RELAX! just go to the interview, unless the school has specifically requested for anything, i don't think you should bring them.

bring whatever you think will help your position. this one guy at one of my interviews had a box full of his dental work...apparently he was a dental tech for 10 years and brought along some of his best stuff. so whatever you think will help you position...bring it. i personally went empty handed and no one seemed to care so far. so its up to you really.

I would say as long as whatever you decide to bring is not to bulky and is easy to carry, why not?

For example, if you have some pictures that are related to your research that would help explain what you do or perhaps some pictures of you involved in an activity that you take part in, feel passionate about and/or emphasized about in your application. Basically, bring things that you can easily fit in a small folder and won't hinder your days activities as far as the interview/tour is considered.

(Not your whole life, but things that you think could help you **if** an appropriate time in the interview arises for you to show them. Otherwise, if you stick these things in their face inappropriately it might work against you. Perhaps you won't even have to show them at all.)

Take everyone's advice and do what you think is most appropriate for your situation. Good luck!
