I am going to get straight to the point:

Will I be at a disadvantage if I submit my AADSAS application early June but take the DAT after that in mid June?

The summer after sophomore year! I cannot stress this enough. Best advice I ever received!

Freshman year: chemistry, maybe some bio
Sophomore year: organic chemistry, again maybe some bio
TAKE THE DARN DAT AND NEVER THINK ABOUT IT AGAIN
Junior year: feel awesome that you're done with the DAT while all the pre-med kids are taking the MCAT (b/c they are taking physics and need physics for the exam)

There's no reason not to take it during the summer after sophomore year.

So if i were to take the DAT the summer after my sophomore year but say i don't do as well as i wanted, when would be the best time to retake it? Also, do Dental Schools take your highest score or average the two scores? More specifically, i was curious about the schools in Illinois/Missouri.
